This night had been so much better than Edwina had expected. She had been so nervous as this was only her third social event. The music was wonderful and she had danced nearly every dance before she had stumbled upon meeting the Viscount Bridgerton. She knew his name, the entire Ton knew his name and his reputation. When he had asked her to dance she went mainly because she wanted to see firsthand if he was the Rake that Lady Whistledown branded him. He was sweet, attentive and a very fine dancer. So fine that their song ended far too soon so she was pleased when he offered her a walk in the gardens. The sun had begun to set so the sky was a beautiful mix of sunny yellow and a deep sunset orange as they walked. When they stopped to admire the sunset Edwina was looking at him instead. Then she stepped closer to him. It's not proper but.. kiss me.
