When Penelope told Helena about Aubrey Hall, she thought it was only in fairytales that people would live in such a large home. When she finally arrived, her mouth dropped of the sheer beauty and enormous size of the estate. “This is bigger than Versailles!” She said to herself as her wide eyes looked at the place. After a quick greeting with Violet, Helena was escorted to her room. Penelope wants her room to be near Eloise, so Helena’s across the hall from her companion. She knows she’ll be tempting a scandal by not bringing Bridget along. But from her time in the carriage, Lady Featherington is one intimidating woman. As she relaxed in her room, she couldn't help but want to leave her room. She wants to visit Eloise to see how she's doing, but as she opens the room, she sees the room being a little more masculine than Penelope was staying in. She closed the door, only to be surprised by someone standing behind her. Anthony Bridgerton

Tag: @polinshipper82 i will ALWAYS PROTECT YOU Anthony had mixed feelings about Aubrey Hall. It was once the place where the Bridgerton family would spend a great deal of their time; a place filed with joyful memories, laughter and so much more. But it was precisely those memories, that made coming back here difficult. For they were ones that greatly included Edmund. Anthony came only when necessary for maintenance and ensuring all was well. But the visits to Aubrey Hall were more infrequent than when Edmund was alive. So coming here, held that difficulty for the Viscount. But a decade of swallowing back his emotions for the sake of his family certainly came in handy when now having to host an event that his mother had set in motion. He knew the intention behind it of course, but Anthony would focus on one thing at a time
❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ He was currently in his room, taking a moment to himself before he would have to go back out there and continue to greet the guests, ensuring everyone was settled and that their accommodations were well met. When his door opened, Anthony turned to see who it was, assuming it was one of his family members otherwise the person would have surely knocked. But instead, he saw Miss Bishop enter, and seeming to . . . remain. Well, this was peculiar indeed. There was no reason for her to come to his room unless of course, this was a mistake. Nor would he wish her to be compromised if found out that she entered the Viscount's bedroom.
❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ She did not yet seem to notice him until she closed the door, and Anthony made his own presence known. "Miss Bishop," he greeted politely, clasping his hands behind his back. "Is there something I can assist you with?" A slight underlying tone of teasing to indicate that there was no offense in her being in his chamber. Especially since -- as he previously established -- he was fairly certain that her being here was a mistake,

Anthony Bridgerton. Notorious rake. Master of the house. King of sarcasm. And he’s behind her. “Merde.” She whispered to herself as she turned around. “My Lord. My apologies.” Her cheek turned red, embarrassed that she walked into his room. But she is thankful no one was there to see. “I was trying to find Penelope and thought it was her room. She said she was sharing with Eloise. I’m sorry if I disturb you.”Smooth one, Nene. She wants run back into their room, wanting to die of embarrassment. What is Anthony is going to think of her now? She kept a reasonable distance at their first meeting. However, she had her father in attendance with her. The doctor isn’t here this time around. ”You do have a lovely bedroom. Very masculine.” Helena started to walk back, intimidated by him. She would hope they can at least be platonically friendly while she’s at Aubrey. “You’re not going to compromise me, eh? You have better options than me and I wouldn’t want to mess that up for you if you’re looking for a wife.”Anthony Bridgerton

Tag: @polinshipper82 i will ALWAYS PROTECT YOU Confirmation of it being a mistaken was evident in her reaction of noticing him here, immediately apologizing as she explained she was trying to find Penelope. "It's quite alright," he answered with a smile, finding no offense in a genuine accident. "Eloise should have her own room," he further explained. As they were the hosting family, and frequented their country estate -- at least whilst growing up -- then she should indeed have her own space within it.
❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ "Perhaps Penelope was visiting her in it." Considering their close friendship, it would come as no surprise. Though there was indeed ample room for everyone here so that their guests would be most comfortable. "Thank you," he responded upon her compliment of his bedroom. It had been his since he could remember, updated accordingly. Though, it had been some time since returning to Aubrey Hall, the bedroom would always give Anthony feelings of both comfort and devastation. A strange juxtaposition indeed. When she spoke of compromising her, Anthony kept a polite smile in place -- years of suppressing true emotions when it came to the need to be stoic, composed and polite . . . in most situations.
❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ Though, the subject brought the Viscount some discomfort, alluding to compromising a woman especially one he did not know incredibly well. The subject of a wife as well was not so easily discussed with another that he did not have a close relationship with. So to avoid these things, he shifted the conversation. "I would not do such a thing," he assured her, feeling that such an assurance was indeed necessary. Even if she spoke in jest, the subject itself was . . . unsettling for the eldest Bridgerton son. "But to ensure there are no rumours of it either, allow me to escort you to your room." He moved to open the door. "Your actual guest room," he added on in a slight tease as he opened it, and stepped into the hall to wait for her.

A sigh of relief came from her as Anthony stood there and took in the complement of his bedroom. She sense a hint of sadness from him. All she knew about the family from her father is that the previous Viscount suffered a tragic fate more than a decade ago. Dr. Bishop was not aware until his family returned from a brief holiday in Brighton. Changing the subject of bedrooms and compromising, he escorted her to her actual room nearby. Hopefully while at Aubrey, Helena can strike at least an acquaintance with the Viscount. “So I saw in the itinerary there’s a round of pall mall.” Helena hopes to lighten the mood between them. “I would hope to observe the game so I can understand the rules to it. While I don’t mind taking part of sport, I enjoy being a spectator and cheering them on.” With that, they arrive at her room. “Thanks for the walk to my room. Hopefully I won’t get lost the next time around. If you need someone to talk to, platonically of course, don’t be a stranger.” She gave a smile as she opens the door. Anthony Bridgerton
