tagged words not a clue! notes fun! | Little Hyacinth was accompanying her brother, Anthony, to their home in Kent for the weekend. It was exciting for her, having been confined to their estate since the London season had begun. Sure, she'd go out and attend luncheons with her family and Gregory, and even wander about the streets with her governess, yet there was nothing like Aubrey Hall.
She hoped that Greg wasn't too envious of her short trip with the family's patriarch. Really, it had been suggested to her by the family physician due to the flu she had recently caught. Hyacinth had spent nearly two weeks in her bedroom, but thankfully, it had gone away. Now, she simply needed fresh air. Hyacinth poked her head outside the carriage's window as they neared Aubrey Hall, grinning from ear to ear. "What will we do first, brother?!" The ten-year-old squealed. |

Tag: @hyacinthb i will ALWAYS PROTECT YOU Anthony's trips to Aubrey Hall were far more infrequent than they had been growing up. Than . . . they had been since Edmund passed. The place held such wonderful members that Anthony would always hold dear, yet at the same time, served as a reminder that those moments would never take place again. Part of him felt guilty however, that Hyacinth and Gregory did not grow up with these same memories. He knew he had to rectify it somehow; knew he wished to give them the best childhood memories one could hope for. But with the absence of a father -- with the absence of a father as wonderful as Edmund, the Viscount knew he stood no chance.
❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ Never the less, he could at least start and such efforts were made with Hyacinth accompanying him to their country residence. She had been battling a terrible illness for several days, and now fully recovered -- thankfully -- it felt fitting to have her get out of the city and enjoy the fresh, country air. He had business to attend to but he also wanted his priority to be spending time with the youngest Bridgerton sibling.
❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ Truth be told, he had been terrified of losing her during her sickness and the relief felt when she was fully recovered could not be expressed in mere words. Anthony smiled when she excitedly asked what they would do first. "First we will get you settled into your room," he began to tell her. "Then we shall have meal." Since the journey would surely have made her hungry as it had him. "Then, you should probably lay down to rest for a little while." His words held a teasing tone to them, for he knew that with how much energy and excitement she had . . . rest would be the furthest thing from her mind. Still. He could not resist the playful remark.

tagged words not a clue! notes fun! | The youngest Bridgerton was already listing all the activities that she wished to do that day, as well as that weekend. There was far too much energy inside her and when he mentioned resting, she simply frowned, "Brother, no!" Though from his expression she knew that he was jesting.
Clambering out of the carriage in an incredibly unladylike fashion, she nearly pushed a footman out of the way, only to turn around and offer him a quick apology, "Sorry! If only you knew how excited I am, sir!" Giggling, she danced around the grinning man who immediately straightened up when he noted Anthony's presence. Picking up the hems of her pale blue dress, she ran up the steps of Aubrey Hall, rushing past the guards.
"I forgot how immense it is!" Hyacinth stared up at the ceiling. It had been a while since she'd come here, having been in London with the rest of her family since the start of the season. "Can we pretend sword fight, brother?" Ah, the vim was constant. "I want to become a Bow Street Runner one day!"
