never make
DECISIONS OUT OF FEAR.
ONLY OUT OF SPITE.
ONLY OUT OF SPITE.
Slade entered the establishment of his new business associate. He had made offer to Hamilton about truth be told, Slade did not even consider refusal. It was an offer that would be most beneficial for the other male and of course, a profitable one for the Crime Lord himself. As he entered, he made his way to a vacant chair, those knowing of him giving a courtesy nod of greeting, and raising their glasses in respect. Or fear. Either one, Slade gave slight nods of acknowledgement as his own guards on either side of him, accompanied him until he reached his seat. Setting his cane to the side to lean against the table, Slade sat himself down, removing his hat but keeping his gloves on -- as he always did. His aversion to touch causing him to do so without informing others of what could be deemed as weakness.
It was not long until someone came to properly greet him and while he had not spoken to her at length, he had seen her. For as few words as Slade offered in general, he was an observant individual. Taking in the sights around him and absorbing everything; committing everything to memory -- wanted or not. After all, the less than one spoke, the more they learned. Looking at the woman who seemed to have high position in the Gilded Rose, Slade gave a nod of greeting and acknowledgement. "Lord Rueben Slade," he greeted. "As we have not yet been properly introduced." And if he was to be well informed of all business here, it was best he knew the employees; especially one holding high positions.
