.:Name:. Lucille Granville. .:Nick Name:. Lucy, Lu. .:Rank:. Nobility. .:Age:. 34.
| ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance:. At ton events, Lucy simply tries to dress to blend in with the rest of society. She wears neutral colours, or whatever is in that season (her closeness with Madame Delacroix certainly helps), not wanting to impress or stand out. Separate from all that, away from the ton, she is a far more casual dresser. .:Height:. 5'6. .:Portrayed by:. Sandra Teles.
| ~ • ~ | Personality | ~ • ~ |
.:Personality:. The ideals of high society always baffled Lucy. She was obedient and dutiful in her youth, but she didn't ever really feel like she actually fit in. Still a spinster in her mid-twenties, she had accepted it, partaking in plenty of casual relationships behind her parents' back. Marriage, for her, was a convenience; a way to allow her to continue in her vices. She's still the quiet type in the public eye, she likes to get lost in her books, in art, in learning, though there's definitely another side to her. She's openminded, prefers the company of those who find sexuality more fluid, the artsy type, people more like her. .:Skills:. open mindedness, creativity, gambling, sex, playing the part of a dutiful wife. .:Weaknesses:. A pretty face (regardless of gender), the pressure of the lie she and Henry are selling society, her penchant for gambling/drinking/smoking/sex/et al.
| ~ • ~ | History | ~ • ~ |
.:Birthplace:. Mayfair, London. .:Family:. Lord Arthur Eden (father) & Lady Dinah Eden (mother). .:Occupation:. Wife. .:History:. As a child, Lucy was ever curious, ever learning, ever reading. She was artistic and thoughtful, but always the quiet type. Her parents didn't show much concern, not to begin with. Years passed, she hid her other passions and interests well, ever the dutiful daughter once she was out in society. She'd dance with anyone who asked, allow her dance card to be filled, though all the men of the ton seemed so...dull. By her mid-twenties, she was considered a spinster, and was perfectly fine with that. Nobody ever caught her eye.
Until Henry Granville.
Funnily enough, she wasn't attracted to him, she wasn't looking for a love match. Instead, in him she saw someone who intrigued her, someone who seemed like he was on her level. Nobody had ever seemed to understand her before, but she saw something in him that felt like familiarity. When he divulged his sexuality to her, and his desire to wed because of his family, she had no doubts at all. Marriage to him would allow her freedoms: the opportunity to attend more underground events, to drink, to smoke, to gamble, to sleep with whoever she wished.
Romance and children were not something she ever craved, and her situation with Henry has always made sense to her. He's her dearest friend, and they are both able to live their separate lives, enjoying things the ton would look down upon. In public, she continues to play the dutiful Lady: dutiful daughter, dutiful wife, dutiful member of high class society. She lives her life in two completely different worlds, though the one they have created aside from the ton is definitely where she feels the most like herself.

but some battles leave
no victor, only a trail of
broken hearts that makes us
wonder if the price we pay
is ever worth the fight."
