.:Physical Appearance:. Ella is a girl who sometimes shows off her attractiveness, well conventionally, though unknowingly. She has an olive complexion, fit for any Spanish noble, with an angular jawline that indicates how she’s still pretty young. She has rounded dark hazel eyes that seemingly glow with a darker light, and she usually wears some sort of mascara, pastel-colored eye shadow, and some sort of thicker eyeliner (when she’s at a formal setting). Her hair is a dark muddy brown, somehow drawing a fine line between wavy and straight, and is usually done back in a longer ponytail, where normally it reaches midway down her back. She usually paints her nails a darker shade of red, the same shade as the crimson dresses she wears at formal occasions, but she prefers to dress pretty casually overall. She usually carries a silver-colored umbrella whenever she’s out in public, though has seem to forgone it in recent years. She also wears a white glove only on her left hand, instead of on both hands. .:Height:. 5’8 .:Portrayed by:. Margaret Qualley

.:Personality:. Gabi is very much a “wolf in sheep’s clothing” type of girl, except without the bitchiness and more fish out of water vibe. She is highly curious and inquisitive, despite having a mostly realistic outview on the world, and prefers to explore things rather than simply let them be. She isn’t called a human lie detector for no reason, I’ll say that. She’s HIGHLY intelligent for a woman of the era, similar in style to Jane Austen, and just hides it so as to not get oppressed by the patriarchy. Gabi’s actually a pretty well-taught rebel, but she does feel like she’s been silenced over the years. Over the years, she’s learned not to get caught, and can be mischievous and a bit deceiving when she wants to be. Despite this, Gabi is unusually, almost bluntly honest, with those she is loyal too. If she isn’t loyal to you, she will give you the silent treatment. She can make her feelings known for you without a single word, considering it one of her greatest skills. .:Skills:. Seduction, handgun usage, horseback riding .:Weaknesses:. Bluntly honest, realistic, TOO bold, indecisive, flirtatious, overly critical of those she doesn’t trust

.:Birthplace:. Barcelona, Spain .:Family:. - Ramon Verdugo (56, Spanish Ambassador to Britain, alive) - Paoela Verdugo (nee’ Jimenez, 49, Housewife, deceased) .:Occupation:. Daughter to the Spanish Ambassador .:History:. Gabi was born to Ramon and Paeola Verdugo, his wife of which her husband was 7 years her senior, but age gaps weren’t uncommon back then. They had met in the social season, but were mostly an arranged marriage, and their hatred for each other was obvious. Gabi was closest to her mother back then, as her father was frequently away on business, and whenever he was around, he seemed to be grumpy as fuck. Gabi’s life was surrounded by loving nannies and tutors for the most part, and she was indeed overly sheltered, never interacting much with people outside of her small circle. She spent most of her days studying and practicing the piano, the former in secret for the most part, until her father, due to Britain’s deteriorating relationship with Spain, started staying home more often.
He became abusive to both her and her mother, oftentimes getting drunk late into the night, and doing and saying things…he probably shouldn’t have done or said. Gabi started to retreat more internally into herself, and started to spend less and less time around her family. She hated attending parties for that reason, and there really seemed to be no social season in Spain. When her parents hosted, Gabi noticed how her father was a polite man like the facade he put on, and so she did wonder how two-faced a man such as him could really be. But she had eventually had enough. With the amount of money her mother had saved over the long years to hopefully get away from Ramon, she gave her daughter it, enough for her to get passage on a ship that was London-bound. A week later, smallpox finally took her, as she had been frail her whole life, and having Gabi only weakened her.
So….here Gabi is. First social season. She knows her father’s around, just prays to God she doesn’t ever meet him, for he doesn’t know she’s here, under the impression she’s traveling abroad in France. Thank god her mother had been preparing for this chance for years, for more than a few of her friends were there to greet Gabi when she arrived and help her get around this…..dramatic messy bunch of shit, so she at least has some people in her corner. But a ruse can only hold up for so long, and it’ll soon crumble when more than a few boys catch her eye…..
