The current situation was not ideal but it seemed that everyone had their minds made up . . . particularly Colin. Stubbornness seemed to be a trait among all the Bridgerton children; a fact Anthony knew all too well as he watched each of them grow older. So alas; he could not stop the upcoming nuptials so therefore, would have to assist in it's arrangements. It was after all what had brought him to the doorstep of the Featheringtons. He was intending to discuss said arrangements -- as well as Marina's dowry -- with Lord Featherington however was informed that neither he nor Portia were home.

Anthony was prepared to make his leave when the butler insisted he come in and wait as they should be back shortly. Anthony pulled out his pocket watch to glance at the time. He did not wish to waste time but nor did he want to keep making the trip. With a nod he followed the butler into the drawing room, before he made his departure, leaving Anthony standing there. The Viscount glanced around, not entirely sure what to do with himself. By the time he convinced himself to take a seat, he heard approaching footsteps to which he immediately rose respectfully, assuming it was one of the Featherington daughters or perhaps even Marina herself.

Phillipa was surprised to learn that there was a Bridgerton here and she was fully expecting to see either Colin or Eloise when she walked into the room. Seeing Anthony she gave him a nervous smile as she greeted him.

Lord Bridgerton, how nice to see you.  Would you like some tea while we wait?

Anthony politely smiled when Phillipa entered the room. He did not know her particularly well, though he supposed the only Featherington daughter he saw most frequently outside the ton's events was Penelope due to her close friendship with Eloise. "Ms. Featherington," he greeted with a slight nod of his head. "It is my pleasure." She offered him tea and he of course had no reason to refuse. Perhaps it would help pass the time. "That sounds lovely," he agreed. "So long as I am not interrupting any previous engagements you may have." He of course did not want to keep her from . . . well, whatever a woman may be doing mid afternoon.

It's always a great pleasure to see you.  I feel like I barely know you, we see Colin often and Eloise of course.  Phillipa smiled talking as she walked over to sit down and waved him over.  You not interrupting anything, I was just reading.  So what brings you here?

Anthony continued to smile as Philippa stated that she felt as if she barley knew who he was. Such a statement was indeed fair, and true. He did not spend an excessive amount of time with the Featheringtons. He crossed paths with them when -- as Philipa had stated -- when they were with Eloise, or even Colin at times. Or when Anthony would offer to dance with one of the Featherington daughters, his mother having instilled such values in her sons; to treat the wallflowers well and ask them to dance where others may not. But having this one on one conversation with a Featherington daughter . . . was a rare occurrence.

"Indeed," he said in agreement. "Now that our families will be united through marriage, perhaps that will change." And that they would all be seeing much more of each other. With Marina and Colin now engaged. He knew Portia was already boasting about the upcoming marriage throughout the ton, though Anthony stood by his stance of the wedding not happening too hastily. Once she sat down, he did the same, giving a nod when she assured him that he was not interrupting.

"I came to speak to Lord Featherington regarding arrangements of Marina and Colin's engagement." Such as the dowry, and where they all stood on the date . . . as well as where and who Marina's father was as Anthony should like to meet her parents as well.

Being alone with Anthony Bridgerton was something that Phillipa had never dreamed of and she wanted to relish each moment.  She asked the servant to bring them tea and biscuits.  She just hoped that her mother would not suddenly appear in the room and ruin this rare chance to talk to him without interruption.  I think that my Mother is thrilled to being uniting our family finally, Colin and Marina do look so happy together.  Now it seems your brother will marry before you, unless you have a lady hidden somewhere.  She was trying to see if she could find out if he was eyeing any lady in particular, any lady that caught his eye would be lucky in her eyes.  It sounds like you have everything in hand for them, I know that will make them happy.  Marina seems happier since they got engaged, it must be nice to have found someone that you care about that much.  I hope one day to find that to.
