Ever since Philipa had first met Anthony Bridgerton she had a mad crush on him. He had just grown more and more handsome which made Philipa wonder if there was a way to finally get him to notice her.

The family was known for their abundance of wealth -- for they made no secret to showcase it. Their garden was quite large and decorated for the event where families of the ton were invited to attend. The Bridgertons were no exception and of course Anthony had to accompany his mother and siblings who came. As soon as they entered, Lady Danbury greeted them and Anthony took the opportunity to slip away from his mother's side before she was able to force introductions between himself and some of the ladies. Instead, he took an offered glass of lemonade from one of the servers, taking a sip as his eyes scanned the crowd and he mentally prepared himself for mingling amongst high society.

Phillipa sighed as she continued to watch Anthony and she decided it was time to make her move. She walked over to him with the brightest smile on her face. Anthony! I am so glad that you made it! There are not many people here that I would like to mingle with, but now you have arrived. There was a hopeful look in her eyes and she fought the urge to grab him by the arm so she could drag him off alone.
