Kate walked down the hall with Newton's little legs following behind her. For every one of her larger steps, Newton had to take many to to keep up, with his furry belly hanging low. Kate wore a walking dress, and carried Newton's lead in her hands as she made her way toward the morning room were her new sister-in-law waited.
Walking into the room, Kate smiled over at Eloise. "Apologies for keeping you waiting." Kate began, as she walked closer and took a seat next to her new sister-in-law. "Good morning." Newton lifted his front legs, and Kate bent to lift him to the couch beside her--something she knew Anthony would have something to say about, however she also he secretly did not care.

Eloise had always liked dogs. Her ideal life would simply be her safe in some quiet house in the country surrounded by green with a garden and a dog or two, only spending moments that she wasn't writing taking said pet for a walk. Hence, needless to say upon coming to realize that her new sister-in-law had a dog, she was even more eager to spend time with her, both for her company and, selfishly, for time with her pet as well.
Kate's apology was only met with a smile and a shake of her head. " No need. I did not mind waiting at all. It's getting me away from mother and talks of this season for a moment so I do not mind whatsoever. " Words a truth as much as they were a joke, but she did not express more as she reached her hand over for the dog to smell. " How are you this morning? "Tag ~ Kathani Bridgerton ~
