With her husband's money at her disposal, Kitty likes to spend a lot of it with the modiste, usually opting for dresses that are pink or purple, preferring those colours to most others, and often choosing more lavish looks, given that she never got a season out in society. It's something she tries to make up for, especially when attending events with the other married ladies of the ton. While she's not particularly competitive, and doesn't really care if she looks 'better' than any others, she does wish to look her best, opting for lavish jewellery and updos with her hair, too.

.:Personality:. Having grown up rather lonely, only to have married a man who is never around, Kitty is usually the type to quickly delve into conversations and attempt to make friends. While she's long since stopped believing in romantic love, friendship is something she craves, especially from other ladies within the ton; those who might be more likely to understand her situation. She's outgoing and honest, even about her relationship, never one to claim she is anything other than the General's trophy wife, never one to claim she is miserable, even if she is lonely. For Kitty, it is a perfectly adequate situation: freedom, money, and very little time spent with a man she barely knows.

.:History:. Growing up with a father who was a General meant that Kitty didn't spend nearly as much time in the city as she might have liked. While she spent the majority of her time moving from place to place, with nobody to speak to aside from her governess, she began to dream of what it might be like to be out for a season in Mayfair when she finally came of age. She was the type of little girl to dream of beautiful ballgowns and dances with gentlemen who wished to sweep her off her feet.

Unfortunately, reality had a funny way of ruining her dreams completely. Sixteen, and a year before she was due to head back to London for her very first season, and tragedy struck. Her father was killed, passing the baton and title on to Alexander Langham. Kitty had never even met the man, but it was considered a 'favour' for her hand to be given to him when she became of age. She never did get to be presented to society, never did get to be courted by all of the suitors she'd imagined she may meet. Instead, she was married off to a man who had about as much interest in her as she did in him.

The only silver lining in her marriage to the General was the freedom that came along with it. She was able to be out in society with other married women, able to spend time at parties, drinking, gambling, getting to know plenty of others in situations so similar to her own, not having to worry about spending time with a man she could hardly stand. Alexander was seldom home, barely even enough to have met either of their daughters, though with his money and status behind her, she couldn't quite bring herself to mind the lack of his presence in her life.
