.:Personality:. Simon is a serious man to most, but can slowly open to his few friends to become approachable. He uses this to keep most people at bay, guarding himself in a way from getting hurt after a childhood begging for crumbs of his father's attention.

.:History:. Simon spend his whole life knowing his father thought him worthless, and dumb. No matter his marks in school, or any successes he made--He was an idiot and 'dead' to his father. The cause was this was his voice. He didn't speak until he was 4, and even then it was with a speech-hindering stutter. Combined with his father's coldness, and Simon's lack of a mother (whom had died the within moments of giving birth to him), his childhood was one that he spend alone until he was 11. In which Lady Danbury stepped in and helped him.

He made friends with ease, but some were more stronger then others. However, even though his friends were all he had, it didn't hold Simon to London or even England. After Cambridge he rarely came to town.

When news of his father dying reached him, Simon finally went to see the man who'd he'd not seen since he was a child. Knowing his father couldn't speak, Simon made a vow then and there to his dying father--the Hastings line that the bastard loved so much more then his son . . . would die with him. Simon would not marry. Simon would have no children's. The Dukedom was finished. It was only after his father's death that he finally returned. While this had meant to be a short trip, he could not plan for the sister of his best friend to enter his life and turn everything upside down.
