i will ALWAYS PROTECT YOU Anthony had arrived at the club not too long ago and there was a good deal of activity among him. Men conversing, laughing, tense conversations, boastful exchanges . . . ah yes. A very typical night at the club indeed. He was greeted by many as he entered, Anthony politely returning the greeting. It didn't take a great deal longer until he ordered a drink, sipping from it periodically between exchanges among friends and familiar faces. His back was turned to the new arrivals but the noises from the men alerted him to it.
❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ He casually turned, knowing it must be women, and while he casually and passively looked at them . . . he couldn't help but rest his sight on one in particular. The first draw was her captivating beauty. Undoubtedly so. But the second, was the familiarity. He had seen her, not so long ago at the theatre. She was a singer and her voice was without question, one of the most beautiful he had heard.
❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ But seeing her now, in such a setting, such alluring beauty, it was not exactly her voice he was thinking of. His eyes remained on her, until she seemed to have locked gaze with him. Perhaps noticing him staring. All other sounds faded from the room, uncaring if someone was even talking to him, as he couldn't help but just watch her, taking a sip of his drink from across the room. A distance he felt would soon need to be rectified.

A woman in Siena's position had to know whom everyone was. It behooved her to know the peerage as much as she could. Not only because they were good for coin, but because having her name favored with the peers could lead to her getting more and more roles on the stage. Which in turn lead to more coin. It didn't feel as lurid as it sounded when she tried to explain it in her mind. Siena liked it. It worked for her. She enjoyed being who she was, and not having to be told were to go and who to talk too. That didn't mean she wasn't envious of the ladies of the ton. They had a security that she'd never known.
Which was why when she noticed a viscount looking at her, she made sure to pause and stare back. He was young and handsome. Which meant he either had no stamina--or all of it. Grinning at that thought she boldly walk up to him, letting her hips sway as she did. "My lord," she greeted with a slight bow of her head. "You look like you could use some company, and I happen to be great company." She teased. While yes, it was a line, it was also one that rang true for her.
Up close she took in his features, and how his hair didn't quite follow the rules. He features bold without taking over his face. Handsome. He would be fun. She just knew it.

i will ALWAYS PROTECT YOU Anthony watched her as she made her way over to him, her movements almost as entrancing as her singing. He smiled a little at her words of how he looked like he could use some company. "Select company," he told her. He could indeed be surrounded by many and be in the company of many men at this club. But, seeing her . . . he'd much rather her own company.
❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ "Is that so?" He added on teasingly when she stated that she happened to be great company. He titled his head to the side as he continued to keep his gaze on her. "I don't doubt that," he concluded, the pause between words only indicating that he was playfully considering it . . . when truth was, he knew it was without question. "What is your name?" He asked her, curious to know it. "I saw you perform on stage at the theatre not but 3 nights ago." And what a beautiful voice she had.
