   | Gilberto was found orphaned and abandoned in the middle of the road by Evelina Slade. Gilberto was extremely weak, barley having any life in him. The Slade family took him in and nourished him back to health, with Evelina never leaving his side. From that day on, the two became inseparable. Gilberto The Goato -- as Evelina calls him -- has become a member of the Slade family and shares many qualities with Evelina. He is energetic and active. They are both smaller than the expected size of others their kind and age. Gilberto is also extremely sociable and friendly -- perhaps too friendly -- as he loves meeting new people. He is incredibly affectionate, and enjoys giving kisses -- desired or not -- and like Evelina, very chatty as he bleats with excitement and joy, wagging his stubby little tail when he's over excited. Being very sociable, he does not do well when he is alone. He constantly craves company, particularly those in the Slade residence. He has a grand appetite, eating whatever he can find. He is well groomed, always getting washed to ensure he does not smell and Gilly loves it! He responds well to his name, and loves to be held, cuddled, pet, and kissed. Though, it is mostly only Evelina who kisses him. Unable to be left alone during the social season, Gilberto now finds himself in the city, struggling to adjust to the confinements of the house.
