History
Bridget was born in Dublin, the only child to the late Cian and late Aoife Shaw. Her mother died at childbirth and father died when she was four. She was raised by her grandmother Winnie (whom she calls her Nan). When Bridget was eighteen, she moved to London to earn money for herself and her ailing Nan. She liked to have a great time, working as a seamstress at Madame Delacroix modiste shop, and marriage was not in her plans.
That changed when she met Vincent Bishop.
It was love at first sight for them and were married three months after meeting. However, Vincent is also in the Army and was sent to fight against Napoleon’s forces in Europe.
Before leaving, they discovered she was pregnant with their first child. To be comfortable, she moved from their humble lodgings in Bloomsbury to the Dr. Bishop’s luxury townhouse in Marylebone. Their son Liam was born while he was away. After her husband’s return, she is trying to juggle being a wife, mother, friend, and seamstress.
