.:Name: Gemma Lavorre-Dosal
.:Nick Name: Her mother calls her Little Sapphire. Some around her mother’s home call her a little trickster due to her liking of pranks that she would pull around her home as a child.
.:Rank: Noble
.:Age: 22
| ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance: Her mama’s nickname is given to the young lady due to her shining blue hues, eyes that Gemma enevieve is told come from her father. Her long, blonde, slightly curly hair, though is all from her mothers. Despite a liking for fancier dresses and clothing, compared to her mother, Gemma's clothes are almost plain. She tends to wear color, blue, pinks, and purples, though she can often be found in green as well. There is always a twinkle in her eyes, be it in curiosity, joy, her lips always upturned, her voice light and joyus… though one would never be able to see if it was genuine or not.
.:Height: 5"1'
.:Portrayed by: Kathryn Newton

.:Personality: What she lacks in height, Gemma certainly makes up for in personality. Though she is often underestimated due to her excitabilty and "innocence", as well as a lack of seeing her, despite her mother being such a well-known social figure, if one would engage her in conversation, they might find themselves surprised by just how wise she was. She is a hopeless romantic, both in terms of love and just for the world in general, both stemming from the books that were left to her upon the years that she spent behind the same walls and often thinks outside the box and to what some may even call outside of the realm of possibility. She is warm, excitable, very excitable, loves helping people, learning about them and more about the world that for so long she only knew about from books. She is bubbly, curious, hopeful, determined and brave.
.:Skills: Though you would not expect it by looking at her, she is a rather good liar. Other charismatic abilities she certainly lacks in, but lying was something that she did not struggle in whatsoever. She is an avid reader, piano player, and singer, but where her true passions lies is in art- be it painting or drawing. She is very open minded
.:Weaknesses: Gemma, though she never truly lets on, struggles with a never-ending feeling of loneliness. It is mostly due to her upbringing and the fact that it was her and her mama as well as her lady's maid, and her mama often was out performing. She is not her mother, and this is something that she is struggling with. Trouble seems to follow the only Lavorre heir, be it something that just happens or something that she accidentally wanders into. Her curiosity and imagination could also be placed her. Though often a good thing... well... you know what can be said about curiosity.
| ~ • ~ | History | ~ • ~ |
.:Birthplace:. England
.:Family: Mother, Marion Lavorre, whom she is very close to and looks up to. Father, who she does not know the name of, whom is thought of as dead, but Gemma is beginning to hold her doubts. She is an only child and has no other family.
.:Occupation: As every other woman, it is her duty to find someone to wed. It is something that she is struggling with, somewhat, however.
.:History: Most of her life has been spent behind the walls of her home, save for when it was time for her to enter into society. She did not know why, and she did not question it either. What she knew was her mother, the household staff, the name of every note on piano and how to sing it out, what sort of pranks and tricks she could get away with to try and lighten the dark halls of the estate she called home, the title and summary of every single book in the Lavorre study, and what would come from mixing the various colors of paints that she had on hand. For years, she brought herself up, she learned, she studied, she memorized what was expected of her one day, how to be a good wife, what society would look for when they met her. Gemma's mind, though could not have been further than that, instead locked on a single thing-
Having grown up on so many love stories, she wanted to know what was the one that had resulted in her. She had asked her mother, and her mother had not told her a name, but in Marion's eyes she could see despair and so she did not ask. Upon entering the social scene, though, the young woman desperately tries her best to learn more about the man, though, and the evidence that she finds on the man, Babenon Dosal, she comes to find that the fate that she had been led to believe, and possibly her mama, had been lead to think
Both looking for love, hoping for it, or at the very least a match, hoping to take care of her mother as she did alone for her whole life, as well as trying her best to dig up any information about her father that she can, Gemma spends most of the season out of home, talking, searching for something, anything, as well as trying to see what she could outside of her balcony in person, finding that the world is not all that she had imagined, that it isn't all ups and bouquets and sonnets, but falling in love with life all the same, longing, and eager for more than she had before. There's ups and downs, and since her entrance into society a year ago she still has yet to find a match, but it has not deterred her or crushed her spirit. The world to her, is still colors, and she holds a paintbrush, ready to take in whatever life hold and paint it on paper to hold close while she searches for answers.
