with a twisted ankle The day was a bright sunny day that made Edwina want to escape the house so when Kate announced she was taking Newton for a walk she volunteered to come along. They were chatting as they walked and for the first part of the walk Newton was behaving himself for once. Usually he was either pulling Kate along or refusing to move so Kate had to pull him along but not today. He was walking at the same pace they were and didn't seem to be pulling on his leash at all. Greeting others as they walked Edwina noticed a man that she had not seen before. He was quite a bit older than they were but so handsome. She was paying more attention to him than where she was walking so when Newton decided to suddenly stop she tripped over him and cried out at once. I think I just sprained my ankle.

Tag: @edwinasharma1 you can run BUT YOU'LL DIE TIRED Ezra knew this was a consequence of last night. He and another Bow Street Runner had a . . . disagreement and while Ezra was not the type to get in futile physical altercations, his words were enough to provoke the other man. And now, he was being -- in a sense -- punished for it. The magistrate claimed that it was not punishment however and that it would do Hunt well to patrol on a bright, sunny day rather than only on the dark streets at night. Hunt vehemently disagreed. But the magistrate was the one man that he would not defy. And so, here he was. Walking through the sunny streets of London. Busy streets at that, given the weather. But he Ezra already knew within mere moments of being here . . . that there would be no crime that required his attention that would take place. No one was foolish enough to commit one at such a time. But then, the Magistrate knew that. His cause furthered by giving Hunt an 'easy shift to give him some time to relax'. Huntington loathed it.
❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ As he walked down his undetermined path, his eyes casually looking around, he noticed a young womans's gaze upon him. He locked eyes with her, wondering what it was that she was looking at. No. He knew it was him, but why. There was nothing oddly suspicious about her. He was very clearly not a gentleman of the ton that would have captured her interest. And . . . he did not forget a face, so they had not met before. Yet, she was looking at him, and while it may be rude for a man to stare, he was looking back. At least for a few moments returning the gaze, before he straightened his head to the path in front of him. It was no sooner than that, that he heard a loud cry, turning to . . . the same woman. Who now exclaimed she sprained her ankle.
❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ This, was most certainly not part of his job. This was better suited to a gentleman who wished to swoop in and become the hero. But . . . why were they not swooping? Obligation and the Magistrate's nagging voice -- and perhaps a bit of of curiosity -- had Ezra inwardly groaning at himself, approaching the young woman. He did not need to ask her what happened, as she clearly stated. So instead, for the sake of investigation, he asked another question -- one with a double goal in mind for he also sought to satisfy the question in his mind. Ezra did not like leaving things incomplete or unknown to him. "What distracted you from your path?" Because, he knew she had been staring, but this answered that question of why. He wanted to know, and even he knew it was better to ask it in this way rather than the blunt inquiry of why were you staring at me?.

Edwina was scolding herself in her thoughts as she looked down at her rapidly swelling ankle. This was all her fault for not paying attention to where she was walking because she could not take her eyes off that man. That man, he was so handsome and the way he stared back at her she had completely forgotten everything, apparently the ability to walk as well. Now she knew that she looked like a complete fool. She looked over at Newton with a scowl on her pretty face. I swear you tripped me on purpose! She growled at him under her breath.
Then that man, handsome as hell was knelt down in front of her. All thoughts fled from her mind, she was completely speechless as she stared at him shocked by the thoughts in her mind. Never before had she ever looked at a man and started imagining touching him, or kissing him. She gasped at the thoughts and finally managed to answer him. YOU! I was distracted by... you! Her cheeks felt as if they were burning a blistering red but she could not look away from him and one hand edged towards his face.
