Siena liked this one. The man she was with today did little to rouse her passions, which meant her head and her heart were always clear. He helped funded her career, her clothes, and jewelry. In return she smiled when he spoke, and encouraged him to spend the night often. To which he was more then willing. It was a benefit for them both. He got company, and she made him feel important, while in turn she---damn.
Anthony Bridgerton had just entered the room. For a moment their eyes held and she felt as if she was back on the steps where he told her he missed her. His hand on her belly and his lips in her ear. It had killed her to walk away from that, but she had to put her before him or he would have taken everything from her. Without meaning too, Anthony Bridgerton would have undone her whole life and she'd be left broken heartened. . . . again.
Garrett Lucien, a well off 3rd son, was a safer bet for her life. If he broke things off with her, she wouldn't be devastated. His promises meant nothing to her. He didn't promise the moon and then run to his family. First sons had too much responsibility. She would avoid them for now on.
However . . . She had one flaw in her plan. And his name was Anthony Bridgerton. aannddd he was sitting across from her staring at her with those dark eyes. Siena tried to keep her eyes on the fight, and her mine on Garrett. However the longer Anthony stared at her the harder it was to look away. The weaker her will was becoming at reminding her self to stay away.
And the easier to remember how good it felt. How fun it was. She felt her thighs press from the reminder. Turning her head toward Garrett she wished it was easier to let Anthony go. "I shall return." She told him, making a excuse before turning to walk toward the exit. She didn't look at Bridgerton. If he followed her, then her choice was made. Before she got to the door, she stepped under the wood belchers, and waited to see if he would follow.

i will ALWAYS PROTECT YOU Anthony had gone to the boxing match to enjoy it, and perhaps allow it to serve as distraction. But . . . unfortunately, such was not the case. The moment he had laid eyes on her, it was all he could think about. Not that he needed to see her to think about her. He had meant what he said to her that night; he could not think of anything else. Of anyone else. And seeing her now . . . he did not even pay attention to the man who's arm she had hers looped through. He thought only of her. Focused only on her. And suddenly, the boxing match faded into the distance. No matter how many times he tried to look elsewhere, his gaze kept falling back to her. Any attempt to avert it was futile.
❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ But what fueled it, was the fact that she too was looking at him. The two often made eye contact, particularly during her performances. So it was not unusual . . . but this time, it was different. This time, there was much to be interpreted and yet, Anthony knew that he and Siena did not always need words to communicate. So the moment she rose from her seat, Anthony knew that he must follow. Taking a deep breath, he swallowed, looking back at the game though held no interest in it.
❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ "I will return momentarily," he told his brothers, not that they truly heard him nor cared. They just passively gave a nod as Anthony stood up, straightening his coat as he made his way to the exit. He caught the tail of her dress as it disappeared down the stairs and . . . going under the bleachers. Anthony did not even look around to see if anyone followed. He attempted to slow the beating in his chest, and ensure his steps were not too hasty though he held little to no patience.
❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ Once there he looked at her, joining her under the bleachers and just watched her, trying to read her. Trying to understand what expression was behind her gaze and what words remained unspoken. But, he could not exercise restraint right now. His desire for her maddening in all the time they've been apart and so he acted on all the emotions that filled him when it came to her, and moved towards her, kissing her and desperately hoping in his mind that she did not reject him this time.
