Peggy enjoyed her morning ride at Hyde Park with her beloved horse. It is days like these Peggy wants to take her horse Fleur and just ride, getting away from her mother’s constant badgering of her chances. The right man will come along; she smirked to herself as her footman brought steps for her to hop off. Dusting herself off, she made her way into Wellington, hoping to find her brother. They are well into the Season, and she doesn’t have a suitable match for herself. Determined to find him, she marched to his office, hoping he wasn’t at Parliament or that dreadful place he frequents with the other men. Inside, she noticed he wasn’t there. Even his brandy was full. “Maybe he is in Parliament,” Peggy said out loud, her arms crossed as turns around, only to be welcomed by a familiar face. William SladeGif

tagged @pegslade words not a clue! notes bro and sis time | William had only just returned from an assemblage with the House of Lords. It was shortly after noon, and he was somewhat tired, having spent the past three hours trying to reach some sort of agreement on an addendum. Climbing off his stallion, he allowed a stable boy to take him away and care for him. He then entered the Wellington Estate in Mayfair.
Stepping inside, he removed his coat and hat, offering it to the footman standing by the door. The servant advised that his sister, Margaret (referred to her by the footman only, of course) had been requesting his presence in his office. Nodding once, he made his way over, entering. "Sister," The Duke greeted her. "You were in search of me?"

“Brother.” Peggy got up and gave a kiss on his cheek. “Busy morning at Parliament?” She look at William: older brother, father figure, and at least today, tardy. She need someone to talk about this situation and fast as time is the essence. “Mama is not doing a good job trying to secure a match for me.” Peggy whined as she started to pace around his study. “I am now two and twenty, a year or two away from being on the shelf. You have to help me find a match.” Peggy stopped as she looked at the portrait in the room, wanting to be like the people in the painting. “Look how happy Mama and Papa were in their portrait. I want that for myself. But you have to help me or else Mama will ship me to one of Papa’s widowed friends. I am sure one of your friends are eligible. Please, help me.” William Slade

"Busy indeed." Responded the Duke, taking a quick gander at the grandfather clock sat in the office to ensure that he did not miss a requested tea with their mother that afternoon. William moved behind his desk for a moment, taking a seat, all the while gesturing for his younger sister to do the same if she so desired. He did often find himself in her company, though considering he was spending the season in London, he imagined his sisters would be occupying most of his time now that they were both out in society. The topic of conversation was marriage and the lack of it in her life. Sighing slightly, William glanced down at the portrait that Peggy had been peering at. "I have many eligible friends, sister," He commented. "The question is, how would you fare with them? There is Lord Hardy, someone I'm well acquainted with, and yet you seemed to only share one dance with him a few evenings go," Commented her brother. "You, yourself, are limiting your options."@pegslade | This Royal Throne of Kings This Earth of Majesty, This Seat of Mars MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0 | |

“Brother, all Lord Hardy talked about was his shooting accuracy.” Peggy shook her head, covering her face. “He was too busy talking about himself and not asking about me. I grew tired after his third shot.”She does admit that her brother is right. She is limiting herself with possible matches. But she also needs to think of the family name while thinking of her happiness. “Perhaps you are right, William.” Peggy uncovers her face, but starts to fidget with her gloves. “But I have to find a perfect match for myself and for the family’s reputation. What happens to me will effect our sister’s chances. I mean, you wouldn’t want me with a third son of a Baron or a penniless heir to an Earldom.“I trust your judgement, brother.” Peggy looked up, her eyes pleading for some help. “Please don’t let Mama marry me off to a man who is older than Papa. What about the Bridgerton brothers? They are all eligible. Or is it a little too awkward?”William Slade
