Eloise would never call herself nosy, despite how others might have perceived her. For her own sake, to feed her never-ending curiosity she had to know what was going on in the other's life especially even when the second daughter was not involved. She was the middle child, for the younger's sake she felt like she needed to go what was going on Did she pry? Yes. Was there no limit that she would go to for gossip or information? No, there wasn't, but waiting for her brother to return, sitting on the stairs when she was absolutely supposed to be in bed waiting for Daphne, for their mother, or even Anthony in desperate attempts get some answers as to whatever their night had been at the latest social event before Whistledown published it to the world was perhaps a bit of a poor choice. She could get in trouble if caught, though Eloise would argue that she wouldn't have been sleeping, her mind at night either being devoted to her journal or her book, today it was the latter. Reading the written words before her, though, did not stop her mind from wandering.
Would a debutant whisk away her brother or would her sister have been swept off her feet, or maybe the opposite occurred and someone had captured anything new about whom this strange and mysterious masked author of the gossip column might be? That was, perhaps the only good thing about the next season, not missing anything. Perhaps then, if she had not already she might be able to figure out who was paying just a little too much attention to the people as opposed to on the floor dancing. Perhaps someone would have to be lurking around too close to the woman who were gossiping. Then again, that might have been
Musings on Whistledown fell away the moment that she heard the door open, Eloise jumpiming to her speed with such a quick step that the book fell down the stairs. With quick steps, Eloise went straight to her brother, eagerness in her eyes, curiosity, such that she didn't regard the other's entering. She made sure to talk quick, before the others would inquire where she was up, words moving just as fast from her lips as her feet had moved to greet them, wide grin upon her face, almost jumping up and down.
"Well? What happened? I want all the details!"
Note : I was thinking that this might be after one of the varying social events? BUT Hope this is alright! Let me know if you would like something else!

Tag: authorflies Note: Better layout coming soon! It works perfectly!! I can picture her doing all that so well! haha! i will ALWAYS PROTECT YOU Tonight had been exhausting. While Anthony was quite used to attending such a events, this season was different. This season, there was an added expectation and exhaustion. Mainly, because of the search for a husband. There was more interest in his sister and men approaching him to make conversation and . . . explain reasons as to why they would be fine candidates. Searching for permission from the Viscount to court his sister for he had made it quite clear that he would not allow just anyone to do it. Of course, this coupled with his mother's attempt to set his eyes on a potential wife, though Anthony had made no intention that he was searching for a spouse. So yes. These events were busier than they often had been in the past.
❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ Arriving home was a welcome relief, though as soon as he stepped through the doors, Eloise immediately approached him. He looked at her curiously, glancing around to see where she had even come from, as he took the gloves off his hands. "Should you not be asleep, Eloise?" He questioned. "It is far too late for you to be up and asking such questions." Which, in Anthony's mind were . . . well, not always as best answered as perhaps his sister. "Come on. Let me see you to bed before you make such inquiries to our mother or Daff." Trying to protect them from having to divulge all the details of a busy night. As if to further prompt her, his hand went to Eloise's back, guiding her back towards the stairs as he walked alongside her.

It was hard to resist the urge to make a face of annoyance at her oldest brother ( she was not the same age as Hyacinth and Gregory who absoultly should have been in bed at this time. If she hadn't managed to convince their mother of her not needing to be, she would have been at the ball with her brother, sister, and mother ), but she kept through, letting her brother lead her forward with only a bit of a pout. They both knew that she would be up far later, scribbling away as she attempted to continue her novel. Or perhaps she knew it and her brother was none the wiser. Personally, she was hoping for the later, not wanting to worry him or get in trouble from their mother. " Well, I will just have to ask them both in the morning before callers arrive then. " If she would be up that early, that is. Perhaps she would stay up all night to get to them before anyone else was and then retreat to her room after getting her answers? She had never been one for getting up early after all. That, could wait, though, she supposed. For now she could pester ask her older brother all she wished to know. " Did our sister dance with the Duke again? Who all was in attendance? I don't even remember which event this was. There's far too many to even begin to keep track of.... I do not know how I will possibly manage next- when it is my turn. " It would be next year. It was a grace that her mother had given her, giving her this much time off, but she could still dare to dream about having another year without the fear of matrimony. Sighing a little in defeat as she continued walking, she looked back to the door, hoping to find Daphne or their mother before continuing up the stairs, her brother beside her. " Oh! Was there anyone acting strange or suspicious? " Tag ~ Anthony Bridgerton ~ Note : Eloise? About to press her brother on potential Whistledown leads? It's more likely than you think haha

Tag: authorflies Note: HAHAH I am SO here for it! Anthony might not be, but I sooo am! I adore Eloise for it!! I mean, who doesn't?!?! i will ALWAYS PROTECT YOU Eloise stated that she would have to ask Daphne and their mother tomorrow and Anthony could not agree with her words more. "Yes, please do," he wholeheartedly encouraged. At least that way, she would not be asking him. After all, Daphne and his mother may very well enjoy such conversations. Far more than he. Eloise's interrogative ways was certainly no surprise to any Bridgerton, so Anthony rather she direct it to someone who may be all too eager to answer them. And yet, her questions continued.
❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ The first one, was easier to answer though it caused Anthony no pleasure. "She did," he said, knowing that the displeasure was evident in his voice. Hastings was like a brother to him . . . but not the kind of man he wished for his sister, considering the man's lifelong refusal to get married. And, being a rake of course. Anthony did not care if it was hypocritical. He tended to lose logic at times where protecting his family was concerned. "Perhaps you should join us," he said teasingly, knowing it was not possible halfway through the season. Yet, he could not help but tease her for it . . . knowing how little she enjoyed such grand affairs.
❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ "Then you will find all answers to your questions. Rather than inquiring about every detail," he further teased. "I am sure you will find a way," he assured her. Turning towards her as his gaze fell to the book she held, he turned his head straight forward before continuing. "But please for God sakes, do not bring a notebook with you when you start attending balls." Words meant in jest and yet . . . there was indeed truth to them in his warning of her not to take it along with her. He slightly raised an eyebrow at her last question, wondering what she was getting at. "I may very well regret asking this but . . . suspicious how?" He inquired.
