Bellamy had what he believed was a perfect day planned! The weather was beautiful, and he had just finished work so wished to take advantage of the remainder of the sunny day! And he could not imagine spending such a perfect day, without his best friend: Rose Fletcher. Even if she did not yet know he intended to make her spend it with him. He had everything prepared in his rowboat. He had also found the perfect little clearing right next to the lake where they could sit and enjoy the prepared picnic basket. Yes! It would indeed be the most wonderful day. Such moods were not a rarity for Bellamy. His zeal and enjoyment for life often had him elated. And he was surrounded by people he loved . . . a support that did not make him lament his father or anyone else. He felt . . . happy. And he learned through experience conversing with others, that happiness was not an emotion easily found. Or maintained.

Arriving at Rose's home, Bellamy smiled . . . or at least his smile grew. She did not yet see him for her back was faced to him so he decided to have a little fun with it. Quietly approaching her, he sneaked up from behind and quickly reached his arms over so that his hands covered her eyes. "Guess who?" He asked playfully. "And should you not guess correctly, I will have you know that I shall take great offense," he added on with continued teasing. Hopefully she was not working on anything that required a needle . . . otherwise she may accidentally jab herself, or him in defense of potentially being startled.
