It was late in the afternoon and William was perched before his mother, the Duchess of Wellington, and held the day's newspaper in his hand. He'd been in parliament earlier that day, engaging in talks regarding Napolean's war and the ongoing issue with the River Thames. There was much to deal with and frankly, there were times when Wellington wished that he hadn't been the firstborn son of a Duke. Moments ago, his mother had requested for tea to be brought up from downstairs by the new housemaid that they'd hired. William remembered her name, considering she was still new to the household: Rose. The door opened, and the figure eyed her from the hem of The Times, curious as to what she looked like.
