It's a truth universally acknowledged that an arrogant man shall have his comeuppance. And this is what this lady is for Edward. The one that he will fall for deeply for. but there is a secret he is not aware of.... lets Malcolm's List this up in here.... a jilted lady has concucted a plan to make the poor guy suffer by having this lady come into his life and fit every single thing in Alvanley's list . the perfect lady for him appearing at last only to break his heart........ only that she did not count on this lady's own heart. this lady will challenge him, captivate him and eventually have his deepest affection.... a hitch in the plan is that she too will fall for him... will this plot against him be their downfall? will he be able to forgive and forget? will she? Around 25-27? probably a governess at this point? I was thinking that she will come from a middle class family pretending to be of noble birth (bc it's one of the list items for Edward... a list soon to be discarded as you can tell) pretty much everything is open and up to you! The second son of an Earl or a Duke, this man has signed up with the army and has won himself some proper recognition. He is the other side of the same coin as Edward over here and in many ways he calls him out when he is being abonoxiously arrogant with his so called list. he could be in on it but only for Alvanley's sake bc this charade has gone on for far too long and they all know it.
