.:Personality:. Amelia Nightingale was a good girl. She dressed to part, spoke proper, and never said anything to cause a scandal. She was the perfect proper daughter--in public. Being raised by a father who cared more about his business and public appearance meant if she made a mistake, she paid for the mistake--dearly. It is only recently, after coming out from her father's home that she has begun to find out who she is.

.:History:. Amelia learned early on that if she was not perfect, she would be reminded of it constantly. She born too early, and almost did not survive. Her mother was not so lucky, and did not see the sun right of the night that her first child was born. This was a fact that her father often spoke of. While he would remarry twice more, neither woman survived long into the marriage. One from consumption, and the other from a fall down the steps in the middle of the night. While the death was deem odd, her father had a perfect appearance of a dotting husband and father, and everyone assumed it to be a tragic accident.

After burring 3 wives, he turned his attentions to his daughter. He if could not have a perfect wife, he would have a perfect daughter who would be his hostess, and house keeper in his wife's stead. It was here she learned the value of appearing perfect. If he father was pleased--he ignored her. If he was not, he would yell until he was red int he face, and if he grew irate enough use his fist.

Her one hope was in making the best marriage that she could. Yet any offers were quickly set away. Amelia soon learned why. Her father wanted her to marry his business partner, and Amelia knew the man to be worst than her own father. His was mean, spiteful, and she'd seen him back hand servants that were not even his. Fearing that she would never escape if she did not leave now--Amelia packed her bag of simple clothes, and all the coin she could steal from her father's desk, and headed to freedom. And thus: Melia Gale was born. A window whom is traveling to live with relatives . . . . somewhere . . .
