[attr="class","shinigami"] eloise & phillip. "Don't get used to it," she murmured, but she was smiling as she shifted to sit up, rubbing at her eyes. 'Endearing' wasn't a word many would use to describe Eloise, but Phillip knew her in ways that others certainly didn't. "Is it not much too early for either one of us to be awake?"
Not that she truly minded. Life had changed so drastically since she’d moved to Romney Hall, and surprising and overwhelming as it all could be, she didn’t think she’d ever been happier. Nothing could have prepared her for becoming a step-mother to two children, but Amanda and Oliver were just as important to her now as Phillip was. All felt right, early mornings aside. " Is everything alright? Is it the twins?" [googlefont="Noto Serif:400"][googlefont="Sacramento:400"] [attr="class","target"] sir phillip crane (second - son) tag: @eloisebridgerton notes: none! | [attr="class","targettext"] Phillip watched her, as if frozen in place, when she stepped forward. Though she stopped herself, her fingers almost touched the fabric of his shirt and . . . Phillip found it not an unwelcoming feeling. Though, he did not technically feel it . . . it was a certain, longing that he experienced. Would that she bring the act to completion. "I was working outside in my greenhouse," he explained, without being questioned for it. As if to explain why his shirt was stained with dirt for it was not exactly the most appealing and well put together appearance a nobleman should have.
Phillip smiled upon Eloise's remark of not getting used to it. An expression that came with far more ease ever since they got married. "It is," he agreed, or confirmed. The sun was barley up and they certainly had some time before either of them were to begin their day. His heart warmed at her immediate concern being the children. While he knew she would be an excellent mother -- he most certainly would not have married her had the slightest fragment of doubt been in his mind -- it still brought him so much joy to know how connected she was to them. And how Amanda and Oliver loved her.
"They are well," he assured, climbing back into bed comfortably. "I merely could not sleep." Naturally awoken for whatever reason. "I am sorry if I woke you in the process," he apologized. A smile formed on his lips as he looked at her. "Though not entirely sorry if it allowed me to see you as such." To be able to tease his wife was such a gift. He did not realize all the things his first marriage had lacked until he married Eloise. This marriage was far different. It was full of more life, love, joy, just . . . everything. So to be able to tease her, to know that he could make her smile as she did him . . . it was not something he would ever take for granted.

eloise & phillip. Since she'd arrived in Gloucestershire, Eloise's concern had been consistently with Phillip and the twins. They may not have been her biological children, but they were hers in absolutely every way that mattered – she was their mother, they were her children, and she would stand by that no matter what. They may not have been ready to embrace her at first, but that had all changed so significantly: this was her family, and as much as she'd have liked to sleep longer, she was happy to bask in alone time with her husband. Romney Hall was nowhere as near as rowdy and busy as the Bridgerton home had been, but with two children as full of life as the twins were (and how wonderful was that? They'd really come out of their shells, so different from the children she'd first met), there was little opportunity for this."You have nothing to be sorry for," she agreed, her cheeks turning ever-so-slightly pink, a smile gracing her lips. He made her feel things she didn't know she was capable of, things she'd always denied she wanted. It wasn't that she didn't want them, however...just that she didn't want them with just anyone. If she was going to be someone's wife, and someone's mother, she wanted it to be the Cranes. Shifting closer, she let her lips brush softly against his – something else that felt so new. "I never used to like the quiet, but I quite enjoy these stolen moments with you. I suppose we should expect we won't get many, what with the children..." she paused, a beat following her words. "Do you want more? Children. Is that even something you've thought about?" [attr="class","mizocredit"] [newclass=.mizocredit a]font:bold 6pt calibri;letter-spacing:1px;color:#b5d1f1;[/newclass]
