.:Personality:. Calm - From a young age she learned that in order to get ahead in this world she needed to be level-headed amidst disagreements or situations where her emotions could be considered irrational and she could be ignored being a woman. This stemmed from her upbringing where it was just that, a woman that was upset was hysterical and to be cast aside until they'd 'calmed down'. She keeps herself guarded in situations where her flight or fight response begs her to run away or release her claws, keeping her cool until she can speak in articulate thoughts.
Sensitive - She may be able to keep herself from having a meltdown or running away, but on the inside she feels like she needs to melt away into the floor. Confrontation has never been her strong suite, and it continues to be a weakness. If she seems fine in the heat of the moment, do not worry, as behind a curtain or closed door she may have a panic attack or shed the tears that so badly wanted to run. 
Friendly - It's hard for Tessa to truly harbor ill-will towards anyone unless it's really warranted. That being said, she doesn't hold people too close or dear that she's made plenty of friends that she'll see around. If someone approaches her, she doesn't back off with reproach or a scowl but she doesn't go out of her way to make contact with an unknown person. It's just easiest for her to maintain her distance unless someone else confronts her. She has a face that is beautiful but looks so scornful if she's concentrating or relaxed, but the light in her eyes does turn on with conversation.
Loyal - She may not have friends, but she is quite loyal when she's created a relationship with someone. Certain models she has met at the art school that she has gotten along with can count on her for help because of this.

.:History:. Tessa grew up as a farming girl. Every morning since she turned 4 she was tending to chickens, ducks, helping her father and siblings with all manner of farmstead chores and her mother with household chores. Her life wasn't glamorous, but it was not wrought with peril or hard times (not to her at any rate). On her off times, she discovered a love of art and dabbled with whatever she could. She'd take the cooled charcoal from fire places and would use that to draw on barn walls or scraps of paper, which is how she discovered her talent for it. Her parents, though they obviously wanted her to spend more time on lessons and chores, still managed to obtain artistry tools for her to experiment with. When she was 10 years old her mother became very ill, and the homestead fell into dissarray. It lasted only a few weeks before her mother succumbed to whatever sickness was ailing her, and it seemed the family fell apart. At this time, she took up her mother's flute and began to play it, and though through practice she did have a talent musically, it seemed to cause much more strife with her family. Her father began ignoring the children, began his 'women are to be ignored if they cannot keep calm', and fell into a depression that cused the collapse of the family structure and the farmstead. When he died a few years later, Tessa was heartbroken merely for the loss of both of her parents and the life she had before the illness took their mother. The siblings all collected up everything relating to the farm, the tools and the animals and the home itself, and sold it off to give each sibling a share and they parted ways. Tessa is unsure how her siblings are doing as she lost track of their addresses from the post constantly, but assumes since no one has come to tell her they have died, that they must be alive somewhere and her hope is they are doing great things. She came to London on those funds, finding odd jobs that mostly involved moving items for businesses or cleaning, and eventually when she became 22, she became a model for the art school, when he request to join for the academia was denied due to women not being allowed. She's been modelling the past few years, taking in all the information she can from the lectures she models for, with the hope that she'll someday be able to finally be accepted as a student and not just a muse.
