eloise & phillip. There were things that had never come easily to Eloise — dancing, piano forte, being at all ladylike, just to name a few — and then things like writing and shooting, which she’d always been proficient in. Above all else, however, she’d always been good at filling silences. She knew she talked too much, let her mouth run too often, and nobody in her family had any issue with telling her as such. Most people weren’t quite as quick to tell her to be quiet, as it was hardly considered polite. Phillip Crane, she had discovered, was not like ‘most people’, in more ways than one. There was something quite thrilling about having fallen in love, having finally met her match, but as much as they complemented each other, there was still a lot to figure out, a lot of things she wished to discuss. It was new for her, managing a household, and children, being so far from her family for the first time — and given how quickly it had all transpired, there hadn’t been much time to prepare. There was still so much to consider.“I don’t want them to think I’m trying to change everything. Because I’m not. I’m happy here, truly, I simply think it is something to consider — spending time in London, at least for a part of the social season. I’m not suggesting we go for long, just long enough for them to meet their cousins properly. But I know I’m not their mother, I’m not trying to replace her. This is all so new to me. I’m not Daphne or Frannie, I’ve never been perfect. I’m not the perfect diamond, or the perfect wife, I certainly don’t know how to be the perfect mother. But they’re my children in every way that matters, and I—“ she stopped mid sentence, cut off by her husband’s lips on her own. Most people seemed to struggle to know how to shut Eloise up once she got going, but apparently he’d found the solution. Eloise’s hands flailed for a moment, before resting on his shoulders. She deepened the kiss, tempted to forget everything else and start unbuttoning his shirt. Sex was still so new to her, so early into her marriage, and it was tempting sometimes to forget everything else. She shouldn't, she knew that, but it was the first time she'd actually been quiet in awhile.[attr="class","mizocredit"][newclass=.mizocredit a]font:bold 6pt calibri;letter-spacing:1px;color:#b5d1f1;[/newclass]
