Did he? Had he even been in her life often enough to see right through her? Since they were adults, anyway, she felt like she'd seldom seen him, and while she wished to fix that...he didn't exactly fit in with the rest of high society, nor did he seem to care to. That didn't bother Tabby, he was still her little brother, but they couldn't exactly know each other as well as they should when they seldom saw each other.

"What is that supposed to mean, Reuben? See right through what?" There was a lot that Tabby chose not to see, a lot she was in absolute denial about...perhaps he could see it all better than she could. She liked to think her family were one of the happiest among the ton, that she and her husband were very much in love. Even if someone told her otherwise, she likely wouldn't believe them. "I can hardly confirm or deny that if you don't tell me what you are talking about."
