.:Personality:. Michael was raised mostly by his mother, who was not very aware of the world herself, which left him equally unaware of the world. While not blindly ignorant of everything, he sometimes lack the basic common sense that other worldly people gain by experience.

.:History:. Michael was born to a poor Baron, shortly after the man took his title. His mother was well educated, but his father lacked the knowledge needed to invest well. Thus their limited funds shrank each year. There was no coin for schooling, but his father demanded his son know some education. So they spend their limited funds on a tutor rather than sending him to school. Once that fund ran out, his mother took over the role.

Now as a man, his father's health as declined and is not expected to live past winter, Nathaniel has taken the reins over his family's purse and investments. Using his knowledge of math, he was able make a few grand investments--which in a short time lead to a lot of coin coming in. Nathaniel then moved to London to to better be able to invest, and to find a wife in the season--while his parents stay in the country.

It is his first trip to the city . . .
