.:Physical Appearance:. Diana looks the most like her mother out of her three siblings. Her mother being reknowned for her beauty and the way she had captured her season, only made the expectations placed on Diana even higher when she came out to high society. She has long golden hair that hangs in loose curls framing her face, she is not extremely tall but she has impeccable posture and the confidence to make her seem taller than her 5”6’ reality. She is graceful when she walks but not graceful in all usual senses of the word, she walks with authority and a sure-footedness that comes from her believing that she is a match in conversation and wit for anyone she finds herself in a room with. She favors simpler gowns despite her father sparing no expense in her or her sisters’ wardrobes, and has blue-green inquisitive eyes that lend themselves to trapping those she converses with. .:Height:. 5 feet and 6 inches. .:Portrayed by:. Jodie Comer

.:Personality:.Diana is one year younger than her half-brother Bellamy, having grown up the middle child between her sisters, she was always left to her own devices. Her parents doted on her, but she had the freedom to pursue the things she was interested in as they were busy arranging marriages for her older sisters or dealing with the aftermath of Bellamy’s official arrival into the family. She is quick-witted and well-read. She doesn’t care about her complexion and enjoys her time walking or spending time in the sun reading a good book. She can keep up with a conversation or debate as well as any man can if not better, and she values herself, and resiliently will not allow herself to settle into a life of married complacency. She aggravates her mother to no end with her stubbornness, but her father indulges her, and allows her to do as she pleases because he’s inwardly proud of how capable she’s proven herself to be. Extremely blunt when she feels it is necessary, Diana has been known not to hide her opinions from peers and people she comes across. She is beguiling in her confidence, and draws people in without ever trying to simply through her shining personality, but she is selective in choosing the company that she allows to remain in her presence. .:Skills:. Diana is skilled on horseback, and she is a gifted artist but she never lets anyone see her work. .:Weaknesses:. She always roots for the underdog and she doesn’t really see the divide between social classes - her mother hates it, and it’s considered unbecoming but she doesn’t see the difference between the circles her parents run in and those of the lower or working classes. It’s part of the reason why she was always the most accepting of Bellamy, and why she doesn’t stand for her sisters making comments about him and his position in the family while in her presence. She is infuriatingly stubborn and never backs down from anything, and she can be very hurtful and cut-throat in her matter-of-fact nature when she sees something disagreeable or meets someone that she doesn't care for.

.:Birthplace:.England .:Family:. Gerard (father), Lydia (mother), Bellamy/Laurence (half-brother), 3 sisters .:Occupation:.Currently just the daughter of a Duke, her parents are trying to get her to find a match and get married. .:History:.
Diana was born in her father’s country estate, far away from the home that the family owned in town. From the moment she was born, she had her mother’s beautiful looks captured completely, and as such she was her father’s shining star, allowed to do as she pleased simply because of her determination to do it and his inability to refuse her. Inherently kind, she spent a lot of time around the house help, befriending them and making sure they knew how dear they were to her, talking to them as equals and listening to their stories much to her mother’s dismay as she was supposed to be brought up as a perfect lady like her older sister was. Her parents would have loved if Diana could have been obedient and had the docile personality that would allow her beauty to shine through in the confines of looking suitable as a noble wife and a good match, but while she left her mother in hysterics with her ways, her father ended up simply shaking his head and waving her off with a reserved hint of a smile purely at her bravery and spunk to rebel against her lot in life. She was always close to her sisters, but her free spirit made it so that as they changed and conformed to perfect society darlings with no other cares in the world, she found less and less in common with them.
When her father brought Bellamy back into their lives she was the first to welcome him into the family, seeing him as a brother from the onset and fearlessly defending him whenever her sisters made unkind remarks or side comments. She was stronger than them in wit and in character so she took it upon herself to be there for him as she knew his life had changed completely overnight, and the parents that she knew and loved were entirely different people in his eyes. She understood him, and had no problem integrating him into her life as if he had always been there.
A skilled artist reserved for only those closest to her, while her sisters were coming out to society, Diana deferred a year or two to spend some time traveling, visiting relatives in Paris and spending some time there, once again at the indulgence of her father, promising her the time to enjoy herself and embrace her curious nature before she came back, and making it clear that she would come back and start taking the season seriously, allowing gentlemen to court her and settling down to try and find a suitable match. Diana had agreed in the beginning - doing anything she could to leave and have that chance to see a whole different place and see what Paris had to offer, but now that she has come back, the reality of the agreement is settling in on her, and she is now reluctantly being re-introduced to society for the season, her whole life revolving around balls, gatherings and new gowns at the insistance of her mother. Many people are interested, but she is prickly with those who she can tell see her just as a pretty face and nothing more. A well-read woman, she’s read of great romances and while she does not expect that to happen to her, she at least wants to find someone she enjoys speaking to, and views her as a person who can contribute more than being a wife and having their children. She has high standards and it takes a lot to impress her.
