She notices and knows things going on in the Bridgerton household by simply observing everyone around. Although she never was never able to meet her father, she feels connected to him through the stories her mother shares. Growing up as the youngest Bridgerton, Hyacinth remained close with her brother, Gregory, who is the closest in age. They often play together while also causing slight chaos in the family home, such as bickering and throwing peas at one another. She also would consider herself close with her eldest brother, Anthony, whom she confides in when needing guidance.
Growing up, Hyacinth was always fascinated with the idea of becoming a princess. She loved the idea of wearing ball gowns, diamond tiaras and love at first sight. Dancing around the foyer or nursery whenever one of her sisters would play the piano, she would often find herself in the middle of her own made up fairytale. As she got older, she stopped playing pretend but never stopped dreaming about one day marrying a prince. She happily accompanied her family to the palace so Daphne could be presented in front of the queen. She is more than excited when her sister, Daphne, is the pick of prince Friedrich which leads her to ask countless questions about her sister becoming a real life princess. Although he was not a prince, Hyacinth was happy to attend her sister's wedding to Duke of Hastings, Simon Bassett. In the following season, Hyacinth's excitement remained the same for her eldest brother, Anthony.
