Arthur's style of dress is consistent with that of royalty. .:Personality:. Arthur has a few different sides to him. On the one hand, he is a man of royalty, a military man, a prince, a future Duke, and all the personality traits and codes of conduct applicable to each group, is followed by Arthur. He is dignified and brave, often risking his life for even a stranger, but especially those he is close to. He cares about the people he has sworn to protect, even if it means sacrificing his own life. This shows his caring side as well as his extreme loyalty to his people. He is chivalrous, and while he holds a certain degree of respect to those higher in status than him, he also speaks out when he disagrees with something.
He has very strong morals, and finds it difficult to sit by and let something happen that he does not support, encourage, or agree with. This makes him a man of action and conscience, wanting to do the right thing, even if it takes someone reminding him to take a stand against tyranny. For these reasons, he is greatly loved and respected by those he served as well as those that live within his father's lands. His values and beliefs is what makes others support him very much as Arthur, while aware of the class differences, is not afraid to defend even a mere servant. He always puts others above himself, and can be impulsive when in a dangerous situation. Sometimes his anger gets the best of him causing him to act irrational. He is highly protective of others, those he loves and those he doesn't even know.
While all of these things are true of Arthur, on the surface, he appears to be a totally different man. He can be accurately described as arrogant, pompous, vain, and spoiled. He lives the life of a prince, and always had, so for that reason, expects a degree of servitude from others and often does not realize when he is being rude and selfish. When he needs something, he merely commands it and he expects it should be done. Sometimes, he needs reminding to think of others in those kinds of situations, and consider the feelings and emotions of those he is demanding to perform tasks for him. While he has survival skills, when traveling on perilous journeys, he does not know how to do the basic things in a household such as cook, clean, sew, etc. He expects others to do it for him, and he expects them to meet his every command. He is cocky and a bit of a bully. He is an extremely skilled swordsman and gunman, and knows he is so will often taunt others so that he can show off his skills. He disciplines his men well, especially those he fought alongside on the battlefield. He can also be rathet charming and charismatic when aiming to impress and does not shy away from the opportunity to engage in flirtations or demonstrate his skills.
When he cares about a person, he does not do a good job of showing it. He speaks to those who are inferior to him in terms of status, in such a way that clearly emphasizes the class difference, however his actions may contradict this for he would rescue who ever needs rescuing, and protect whoever needs protection. He is not vocal about how much he cares about others, which makes those who are not nobleman or royalty, have a bad first impression of him. He can not put his feelings into words, making him look like he has a rough exterior, when in reality, he is rather sensitive. Never the less, he conceals his true emotions, and may appear rude and insensitive because of this. He is headstrong and stubborn; when he sets his mind to do something, he will do whatever it takes to accomplish it. He does not like people fussing over him or making big deals about something he has done, such as protecting them or risking his life for them. He covers this up by often making a sarcastic joke about it.
Arthur has a sense of humor as well. He can be sarcastic and always appreciates a good joke or prank now and then. He is a man worth trusting for he will stay true to his word. This also has negative consequences for while he remains true to his word, it may involve knowingly walking into a dangerous situation or possibly, a lethal one. He understands his responsibilities as the future Duke, and feels the intense pressure from his father, however this does not stop him from doing what he feels is right and where his moral compass guides him. He constantly carries around insecurities -- which he overcompensates for by acting cocky and confident -- because he feels he is a great disappointment to his father, and will never stop trying to prove that he is a worthy son. .:Skills:.
- Excellent swordsman, archer, gunman, and hunter. A very skilled and strong combatant, having a reputation as one of the best among his military peers and those of higher rank.
- Intelligent, having been educated in both academics and war fare making him knowledgeable in many aspects. He has strong instincts making educated assumptions and calculated actions.
- A man of his word giving him a reputation as an honest, loyal, and compassionate royal.
- Shows more mercy than his father, which is just one of the many reasons that people residing in his father's lands tend to turn to him for aid and show more support to him rather than the current Duke.
- Has a strong and pure heart, making him a strong leader to his army, citizens, and loved ones rest their faith in him.
.:Weaknesses:.
- Has a great deal of pride which often makes him do reckless things, which he knows is dangerous but will do anyway.
- Has insecurities which often makes him do things to others and to himself that he is fit for his role.
- Conflicted as he does not like publicly disagreeing with his father, but the two share extremely contradicting views on many issues which makes him uncertain what to choose: supporting his father, or following his conscience. This makes him very confused.
- Can not take care of himself, in the sense that he can not cook or mend his own clothing, making him reliant on other people who possess those skills.
- Is bad at vocalizing his true feeling and emotions; he is not good at verbally describing how much others mean to him and how much he cares about them. Therefore, it sometimes makes him look sort of rough, rude, cold and insensitive.
- Suffers from what would not be diagnosed as PTSD. Having fought the war, he suffers from intense nightmares reliving the acts of violence and brutality of what was required to do in the name of his country.

.:Birthplace:. Gloucester House, Westminster .:Family:.
- Prince William Henry | Father • Duke of Gloucester & Edinburgh • As son of William, Arthur finds him and his father constantly colliding on views. Arthur has a different mind set from William, especially as far as their tempers go. While William is known for having a temper, Arthur prefers to be just and ensure that what actions they carry out are legitimate and fair. This causes the father and son to bicker a great deal, and often oppose in terms of how things should be done. Arthur feels he is a great disappointment to William so constantly tries to prove to him that he is worthy, which involves showing him respect (such as not publicly disagreeing with him). William is the only parent that Arthur knows and so no matter what, they will always have that life long bond with each other.
- Maria Walpole | Mother • Deceased • Arthur did not know his mother. He has no memory of her as she died in child birth, however, he still has a strong connection with her and feels that she is a great part of him. He still is protective over her and her memory, though he lacks any intimate moments with her. He misses having that mother figure in his life, and does not get to talk about her or find out anything about her because of his father's refusal to discuss anything related to her.
- Louisa Maria La Coast | Ward • Half sister unbeknownst to all, including them • Arthur and Louisa have a bit of a dysfunctional relationship. While they are constantly arguing and teasing each other, they still have a strong connection. Because he has known her for most of his childhood, they grew extremely close. They may throw a few innocent flirtations back and forth between each other, but deep down, she remains like a sister to him, and someone he can trust. She is a dear and close friend to him, usually supportive of his actions and reasonings -- sometimes being the only one who is -- as she encourages him to do the right thing.
.:Friends:.
- Manservant • He is Arthur's personal man servant, but more than that, Arthur trusts him completely. He considers him to be a loyal friend, and trustworthy accomplice. Though he bosses him around and demands for him to do everything, deep down, he does consider him to be a true friend as proven on more than one occasion. Arthur may give him a hard time, but the more he does that, it seems the closer he considers his Manservant to be, and the better friend -- and brother -- he sees him as.
- Brothers of Heart • These are the men who Arthur served with in the military, some of which he has known since he was a boy. He counts them as his closest friends and the brothers that he never had. He enjoys engaging in various sports with them, jokes, pranks even, and then of course, the more serious conversations that must take place. He trusts them with his life and keeps them close to heart.
- Man's Best Friends • Arthur has 2 dogs that he's had since they were puppies, now fully grown. Their names are Camelot and Albion.
.:Occupation:. Future Duke .:History:. Arthur was born as the sole child of the Duke of Gloucester & Edinburgh and his wife . . . however it was a birth that did not come easy. His mother, Maria, could not conceive and his father feared she would be forever barren. Arthur's birth was considered a miracle but unfortunately, Maria would not live to cherish it. The delivery was difficult and she did not survive it, leaving the Duke heartbroken to have lost his dear love, now left to raise a son on his own. His fear of losing him was strong, and was channeled through extreme disciplinary measures. Arthur blames himself for her death, though he knows that there is nothing he could have done for he had no control over the situation. Because of this lack of a mother figure in his life, he was often pushed and very disciplined by his father. His father would push him and constantly pressured him, reminding him of the great duties he has and the responsibilities that he is faced with. Arthur grew up, feeling inadequate as his father never focused on his accomplishments and strengths, but rather, only recognized his weaknesses. When Arthur was passing his childhood years, a young girl fell under the care of William. Her name was Louisa. This helped ease some of the loneliness as Arthur found a great companion in her. The two got along splendidly, and would spend a great deal of time together, playing, and teasing one another frequently.
William placed a great emphasis on being part of the Royal Army. He initially wished for active service in the military however his health proved insufficient. Instead, he was appointed colonel of the 13th Regiment of Foot. It was this same year that he would meet a woman that he fell in love with, marrying her in private. A year later he was promoted to major-general, and later held the title of General Officer Commanding Northern District. Having held a strong emphasis on the military, William pushed Arthur to excel in his area, ensuring he was trained physically and academically.
Therefore, apart from being a future Duke, Arthur was raised to be a knight and showed natural, and exceptional skills in combat, quickly excelling in the ranks and being one of the youngest commanding officers. He trained vigorously and soon gained a reputation as being a very strong leader and combatant (via firearms, etc), among many other things. He was trained every day, for extensive hours, and he was educated in academics so that he could understand the politics of his country and therefore, make informed decisions regarding his family's lands when he becomes the ruler to it. He is sole heir to the Dukedom which is why he feels all the more intense pressure from his father, the other noblemen, and even the citizens of his father's domain as he expected to be a great leader.
During William's military years, he had a right hand man who carried out his orders, and one he considered a dear friend. He served William for some time, not having the slightest idea . . . that William had in fact, had an affair with his wife -- Lady Almeria Carpenter. The daughter born from this affair was believed to be his friends -- but William and Almeria both knew the truth. It was why when Almeria's husband passed away, and she to follow just a mere few years later due to sickness, William took in Louisa, having made a promise to both her parents. William has not disclosed the true nature of her birth nor who her father is, and is claiming her only as a ward. He is protective of her, determined to find her a good match while keeping her true bloodline a secret.
While Arthur does not know that Louisa is his sister, he teases her as such. He loves her and too is protective over her, weary -- though may be perceived by some as jealousy -- of any man who pays her attention. Society believes that Arthur and her will marry, and William's lack of action in this course has left some puzzled. Believed to be a perfect match to practically all but the family themselves. Arthur uses this belief to his advantage to warn off men, while William does not comment on the matter nor addresses it with Louisa or Arthur.
As Arthur grew older, his responsibilities became more clear as did his own conscience. Arthur found himself rebelling against some of his father's views on certain matters, and while he silently did this, it created a bit of tension between the father and son. Arthur's mercy and compassion could be seen as weak qualities for a future leader and high ranking military officer to possess. Arthur is unsure what sort of leader he will be, and does not yet know what kind of Duke he will be, but he knows that whatever he does, he will stay true to himself, trust his conscience and instincts, be just and true, and do whatever he can to ensure the safety and protection of the people.
