[googlefont="Noto Serif:400"][googlefont="Sacramento:400"] [attr="class","target"] sir phillip crane (second - son) notes: I just have a mental image of pure chaos ensuing when Phillip is left with a bunch of kids! | [attr="class","targettext"] Phillip Crane had long acknowledged his failings as a father. He had already failed as a husband . . . but despite it all, he was not prepared to give up. And with Eloise at his side, he drew strength from her. He learned from her . . . or rather, was learning. She was naturally so good with children and that was what Phillip had been looking for in a spouse. She certainly did not disappoint for she was that, and so much more. But what possessed him to offer to stay with the children, he hadn't the faintest idea. In addition to the twins, there were also a few children that he supposed were technically his nieces and nephews.
And the moment their nannies stepped out of the drawing room of the Bridgerton estate he was visiting . . . that was when all hell broke loose. It had started with two of them arguing about a toy, then another two fighting over a spot on the sofa. Phillip hadn't even finished resolving one conflict before another popped up, and then another, and then loud singing and . . .well, suddenly the room turned into an absolute ruckus. And he was outnumbered. One adult to . . . how many children were even here?! He could have sworn they multiplied based on the volume of the ruckus. It was getting to be too much as they grew louder . . . and louder . . . and . . .
"Please! Stop it! All of you!" His voice was strong enough to silence everyone in the room as they all froze in their current positions, and all sets of eyes were on him. But Phillip had not thought this through. He was unsure what to do next, now that he had all of their attention. Had it been too loud? Did he frighten them? Was this the proper course of action? His mind raced with what he should do next, belatedly realizing that Eloise was standing at the threshold of the door. He felt an instant sense of relief wash over him as his gaze locked onto her and his eyes pleaded with her to intervene and help him as this moment frozen in time seemed to linger on for an eternity.
