Marina was looking forward to meeting more people tonight at the latest Ball, this one was going to be different. She wanted to spend more time meeting some of the ladies. She came upon Eloise Bridgerton and knew her immediately.

Then she stopped in front of her.  Hello you are Eloise right?  I'm Marina.

    Eloise, unlike Marina, found herself completely and utterly on edge. Balls or any other social event tended to have this... strange effect on her- her chest feeling tight and her shoulders tense, but for her mother and siblings sake, she was trying her best to look as calm as possible. Needless to say she was thankful that it was Marina who approached her and not any potential suitors trying to pull her from her corner and onto the dance floor. 

    " It's very nice to meet you, Lady Marina. " Her head lowered a little, a slight bow, head raising to look at the other woman. " Uh... Pen has told me a lot about you. Are you enjoying yourself this evening? "

At the mention of dear Penelope Marina smiled widely.  Pen has talked about you too, it made me want to befriend you.  She says you have such a clever wit that she could rival Lady Whistledown. She answered her speaking softly so no one else could hear her.  

I've also heard many things about your family, your brother Colin has visited me.  I adore him.

    Despite her discomfort in the scene around them, the compliment brings the smallest of smiles spreading upon her lips, eyes falling down as she shook her head a bit. "Penelope is too kind. Though my wit is something that I pride myself in." She would not ramble on and on about her writing as she did with Penelope, though if it came up she would certainly bring it up. She only knew what her dear friend had said and well... she didn't know if it was a subject that would interest her, but she was certain her mother would not like her to ramble on it so for now, she swallowed it down, instead focusing on the statement and on the thought of someone being so infatuated with Colin. 

    Not that she didn't think  that it would happen. But it was still bizarre to her, and not something she particularly liked, if only for the fact that she was not certain that she wanted their family to change just yet. 

    All the same, the middle Bridgerton put a smile on her face. "Well there is certainly talk on him, on all of us in the papers. How did you meet my brother? And I do hope that it is good things that you have heard?"

Penelope is the kindest person I know but I don't think that she speaks anything but the truth about you.  She has told me that if anyone can undercover the mystery of who is Lady Whistledown it is you.  Marina told her with a smile and she admired her.  All the Bridgerton family were very handsome, it was easy to tell that they were all related.

When Eloise asked her about Colin Marina responded with a bit of blush on her cheeks.  I met him one night at a dance, we danced together once and the next day he called on me at the Featheringtons and each day after that.  He is wonderful, I enjoy spending time with him.  He talks often of all of his family.  I feel like I know you all already.  Your family is all wonderful.
