It was not appropriate talk to be had in their home. It certainly wasn't appropriate talk to be had at social events, nor did it seem like the kind of talk to have while their dear sister was seeing to her suitors, but the further the season stretched out, the more Eloise longed to discuss Lady Whistledown. Their mama might not have been the biggest supporter of the gossip columnist, but it was no surprise to anyone, from her fellow siblings to her dearest friend, she was certain that even their servants were well aware of her love for the infamous Lady Whistledwn, Eloise, did not find anything wrong in this though. There were so many admirable things about the woman after all. One of them was that she was a woman, a woman who was self published and brilliantly wrote. Her phrasing was beautiful and more than that bold-- Well all of the Ton wanted to know who she was for one reason or another, but Eloise was determined to be the one to unmask Whistledown once and for all, for no one's sake but her own.
Eloise didn't ask permission to start discussing this- the pair of them supposed to be enjoying an afternoon tea, but Eloise could not stop herself, excited, pacing as she began to ramble slightly, words flying at an all too quick pace. "I am still certain that Lady Whistledown can not be a male. It would be a brave move to make, hiding behind a woman's title but... this writing can not belong to a man. It's too... good." Tea long forgotten, Eloise lowered herself to the couch in a somewhat dramatic and drastic manner, but the Bridgerton girl minded not, turning to her sister as she lowered her notebook. "I have several theories on who she might be. Please, tell me some of yours."

It was very well known that Eloise wanted to learn the identity of Lady Whistledown and Frannie had to admit she was dying to learn how was behind the writing. It was always witty and entertaining but sometimes it was also cruel or demeaning. Frannie feared what the Lady would write about her so the sooner this Lady was undone the better.
Frannie sipped her tea as she listened to her sister's ideas. I agree, the writing is too good to be a man and the Lady has an interesting sense of humor. She has to be a member of society who gets invited to all social events for certain.

Eloise was fairly certain that at least half of London was just as desperate for information on Whistledown's identity as she was. Unlike half of them, though, the second oldest Bridgerton daughter knew her intentions were pure. She only wanted to applaud the author, ask her a question or two, perhaps, but more than that to thank her for the amount of courage her writing had bestowed upon her. Though they wrote two completely different subjects, seeing this author publish her own work seemingly without fear was touching and had pushed her to write more with the same confidence.
" Perhaps she is a mama then? " It didn't feel right.... What mother would do this without fearing her daughter's marriage prospects should the secret be reviled? Further, what mother would even have the time to write? OR such a modern style? Eloise sighed a little, raising a cake to her lips and taking a bite. " Maybe not. Do you have any guesses on whom? "

Frannie wrinkled her forehead as she thought of all those Mothers that they knew. If its a Mother when would she even find time to write? Look at our Mama, she would never have the time to write let alone do it in secret. Some of the things she says, would a Mother be so cruel?

" I don't find it to be cruel. Only brutally honest. " Words said with a slight smirk, biscuit set down in favor of taking a sip of her tea, the softest of chuckle leaving her mouth once the liquid was swallowed down her throat. " You are correct though sister. I do not think it would be a mother all due to time. Perhaps... do you suppose that perhaps it might be one of the debutant themselves? But why then would she elevated Daff instead of herself? "

Frannie sipped her tea and thought about her sister's comments, would another girl really promote the interests of other over herself? I don't think I know a single lady who would want to promote another like Whistledown did for Daphne. Unless it is one who doesn't really want to marry, there are a few of those. She said looking directly at her sister. You are the only one I know who could possibly write like that or find it not like an insulting comment. Are you the Lady herself?
She was teasing her but a part of her knew that Eloise was smart enough to accomplish such a task. Mother would be proud of you, I don't think our brother would. He didn't seem to like being called a Rake, even though he is one.
