Icon & Signature

Icons and Signatures are sections that you can edit to jazz up your profile! Read below to find out how to do that!

Icon

DEFINITION: the avatar or icon is a section that you can add a picture or gif of the character that you are role playing on the site. To avoid confusion, as there is another avatar in your profile as well, we commonly refer to this as your icon. Your icons appear at the bottom of the homepage when you are online, as well as next to any threads that you have started or last posted in.

DIMENSIONS: the dimensions of the avatar/icon are 150 pixels x 150 pixels. Any images/gifs are that not these dimensions will be automatically resized and may potentially distort the image. If you need help resizing your image, feel free to let us know and we can assist you with this.

CHANGING YOUR ICON The first thing you will need to go to the section where you can edit your icon. This can be done by going to: PROFILE >> EDIT PROFILE >> AVATAR. You will then see a section like this:

Then click the area that says UPLOADED/LINKED and a window like this will appear:

From there, you can choose whether you would like to upload an image from your computer by clicking SELECT IMAGE, or you can put in a direct link to an image/gif by entering it in the designated text field. Once you do this, the image will automatically load.

Be sure to save your icon/avatar changes by clicking:

Signature

DEFINITION: the signature is a section in your profile that appears at the bottom of every post. It is usually a place where you can put an image, gif, banner, related text, quotes, etc of the character that you are role playing. You can use the site codes (i.e. alignments, colors, etc) in this text field. You can also use a combination of images and texts as well as multiple images if you so desire.

DIMENSIONS: we ask that your signature image/gif/banner be no larger than 300 pixels x 600 pixels. This is so that the board does not stretch and that members do not have to do scroll too much if the signature exceeds the limited height. If you need help resizing your image, feel free to let us know and we can assist you with this.

CHANGING YOUR SIGNATURE The first thing you will need to go to the section where you can edit your icon. This can be done by going to: PROFILE >> EDIT PROFILE >> PERSONAL. You will then see a section like this:

Here, you can input the text and/or image. When entering the image, be sure to use the IMG tag

[IMG]INSERT URL/LINK HERE[/IMG]

You can also PREVIEW your signature to ensure you like the way it looks, or you can test it out on a posting page. Be sure to save your signature changes by clicking:
