There was little Simon would not do for his beloved wife. So while Daphne was expecting, Simon had gone to his Estate to settle a bit of business that would not wait. As he was already in the country, he traveled the extra to the Bridgerton estate to pick his wife's sister up and escort her to London.
He had spent little to no time with Eloise, and wasn't particularly comfortable spending two days in a carriage with her, however, he knew it was time to embrace the idea of a family. He wanted to try, rather then spend his life alone. Daphne had shown him that.
Simon had arrived late into the night, so he had not seen Eloise until this morning. Waiting in the hall for her to be ready. As she approached, he bowed his head in greeting. "Miss Bridgerton." Daphne's younger sister must look more like their father, and in turn Anthony, rather then Daphne. Though he knew not to comment on such things, as he hated it when people told him he looked like his own bastard father. Thought he knew the Bridgerton's loved their father, he would not begin by bringing up such things. "I trust you are well?"

It was a strange thing to her, how little she knew about the man who had married her older sister. In part it did make her sad, not knowing much other than what she had read in Whistledown which was, in summary, the fact that he was a Rake, that he was a duke, and his name. Her investigation into who said journalist was took priority over learning more about the man who turned out to marry her sister and, in truth, Eloise had quickly felt guilty for not getting to know him before, more so for Daphne's sake, but none-the-less, she was eager to spend time with her new brother-in-law. Certainly more so than she was excited for the upcoming season. The bow and title, though common curtesy made her tense a little, barely noticeable ( at least she hoped ) notebook lowering to her side as she shook her head slightly. " We are family now, your grace. If you so wish and if it is easier, you may call me Eloise. " The question on well, though... That was rather a tad bit more complicated. She was not as enthusastic as she should be, but she was trying to pretend to be, and was quickly realizing that she, perhaps, would have to try harder than usual to pretend to be so. " I am.... excited for the journey. So well enough I suppose. And you? " Eyes falling to the people loading her bags into the carriage, trying to think for a moment before looking at the other, polite smile small on her face. " Are you ready to leave?
