.:Personality:. As a child, Elizabeth was incredibly headstrong and not a terribly good listener. She would rather play outside with her brothers than practice her lessons. She wished to do as they did and for a large portion of her childhood, her father allowed her to behave like her brothers so long as they were at their home in the country. As Elizabeth began to age, her mother explained to her the importance of the skills she needed to learn and Elizabeth began to mature. She would always hold a love for being wild in the countryside, but knew the importance of being a lady and how to use that to her advantage. Elizabeth is still a headstrong woman but knows when to keep her mouth shut and when she can speak freely. She is not terribly ambitious when it comes to marriage and would prefer to marry for love. Elizabeth tends to be a perfect lady in public, knowing how important it is to her family's image but tends to have more of a personality behind closed doors.
She has continued to grow quite firm on her stance that she will not marry for profit and that would rather endure anything other than a love match. Her father has always allowed for this none-sense to be important to Elizabeth, but her step-mother has continued to apply pressure for Elizabeth to be married off. Elizabeth can be quite petty when it comes to certain things and was known to be a practical joker with her older brothers when she was younger. Sometimes, she still resorts to these methods when she is cross but knows she can get away with it.

.:History:. Charles Davenport, the Marquess of Winchester had a happy family with his wife, Margaret. The two always had a preference for the countryside over the busy city of London, but with Charles' title, he was often forced into the city due to obligations. Charles and Margaret had five children together and were quite happy together, even though their marriage had not been a love match. Charles had been quite good friends with the late Edmund Bridgerton, causing the two families to spend time together often. Whether they were at the Bridgerton's Aubrey Hall or the Davenport's Estate, the two families were quite close. Elizabeth always enjoyed spending time with the Bridgerton clan and viewed them as a second family. When Elizabeth was seventeen, her mother, Margaret, passed away from Bronchitis. The whole family went into mourning, and due to Elizabeth's age, she was forced to put off her season while she mourned the loss of her mother.
The following year, Elizabeth entered into society. She had little interest in finding a husband, still mourning the loss of her mother. She had more interest in taking care of her own family, seeing how horribly the death affected her father. The men of London were unable to catch Elizabeth's attention, but many vied for her in an attempt to take advantage of her father's title and wealth. Towards the end of the season, Elizabeth found a man that wasn't entirely noteworthy but not below her reach of marriage. They courted properly and it ended in a proposal, which Elizabeth accepted upon the promise that it would be a long engagement. Her reason for picking out Arthur Fraser was because she knew he was about to head off to visit several armies fighting in the Napoleon War. It might have been unbecoming of Elizabeth to use these reasons, but her desire to stay unmarried and continue to enjoy her current life was quite strong. Arthur was gone for nearly a year before news broke of his death at the hands of the war and getting caught in an ambush. Elizabeth went into mourning, despite the two not having been married, but it was a common practice and she took the relief to stay in the countryside and avoid the Ton in London.
Charles recently took a new wife, Helen. The two appear fond of one another but she is sure her father will never love anyone like he loved Margaret. Elizabeth is respectful of Helen but does not particularly care for her. Shortly after Charles and Helen were married, Helen gave birth to a daughter, Hannah.
Coming out of the mourning period, Elizabeth is expected to enter back into society and participate in the upcoming season. She knows she is at an age where it is frowned upon that she is unmarried, but she cares not for what others think of her. She does, however, care about what others say about her family and she has no intention of letting her family's reputation get ruined because she yearns for a simple life or a love match.
