Slade's Wanted Characters

CLOSE FRIEND | |
So totally inspired by Shadow & Bone, I absolutely love Inej and thought it would be fun to bring in a character inspired by her! I also love her face claim: Amita Suman. This character therefore, would be of Indian descent. I also imagine she would be from the lower class, or from the 'other' rank category. Maybe she even worked at a brothel or something! She would be Slade's best and most skilled spy as well as a very close friend who understands him. Whether she uses seduction, stealth, charm, methods of persuasion, her intelligence etc. I also imagine she is extremely close to his daughter, Evelina and that Slade trusts this character with his daughter's life. She could even live at his estate, as he is very selective about his staff and would want her close by at all times. I would also be up for exploring a romantic dynamic between them because, Kanej feels haha! But that may be best served in AU for more flexibility! Her background, upbringing, how they met, etc is totally up to you and something we can for sure plot out! FEMALE SPY | |
BUSINESS OWNER | |
So one dynamic I think would be really interesting for Slade is another female spy but not exactly a misfit who lives with him. She is a strong individual female who basically owns a well established brothel, after her previous experience working for others as a prostitute. Because of the difficulty of women owning their own businesses, Slade has his name on the papers for legal reasons and initially helped her financially when she was starting out, but he does not pocket a great deal of the profits. This character is incredibly loyal to Slade and serves as a spy for him, relaying any necessary information and keeping him updated as her brothel entertains men of upper ranking as well as middle classmen. He in turn is very protective over her and loyal towards her too. I also have some headcanons as to how they met and reasons he trusts her as well! Would love for someone to bring this character to life and looking forward to further discussing their dynamic and relationship. PHYSICIAN | |
Misfit: close friend | |
So I really love the idea of Slade having a physician that works specially for him. With the shady business dealings he has, I imagine his employees, misfits, and even himself get injured throughout their . . . conducting of business. Slade would therefore, have a very trusted physician who is extremely loyal to Slade and as a misfit, Slade would of course be loyal and trusting of him. I had an idea of what if they met when they were younger, maybe the character was lower class or something, and they grew close. Hearing of his desires to become a physician but lacking funds, Slade payed for his schooling at the Royal Collage of Physicians and this is what sort of helped strengthened their bond. I also imagine that the physician is exceptionally skilled in his field. You of course don't have to incorporate all of this if you have a drastically different idea for the character, but I just thought it could be a unique dynamic between the two. So as stated, Slade has 2 sisters, one of which we will have on the site already. But we are still in need of a sister, either older or younger. How much older and younger is your call! He has not been around his family much since leaving, but now that he is re-entering society for the new season, I imagine his sisters are rather excited about it. I also could see them as trying to set him up with a nice noblewoman in the hopes that it will soften Slade. I don't have much worked out with the relationship he has with his mom, and intentionally so! It's something we can work out and see how it unfolds. I do imagine that she was often embarrassed of his behavior in how different he was from his brother -- hence the reason she and her late husband sent them away. She is indeed a widow, but for how long she has been one is your call. The details of her name, personality, face claim, relationships, etc is totally up to your own creativity! | |

So this relationship I would be particularly interested in exploring! A duke who owed him a greater debt than he could pay offered his daughter as compensation. However, I also have it so that his daughter was desperate to leave her father's home, willing to enter any marriage if it freed her from his control. This is an extremely important point because I do want it to be consensual on her part as well. I think at first, Slade wouldn't really try to do anything with her -- as he dislikes physical contact -- but eventually, they grow a bit closer and things . . . well, happen. Allowing them to have a daughter. While she is deceased in canon -- the how she died is up to you -- there are lots of plots we can have prior to then. And of course AUs where she doesn't die! So these are the people that Slade is closest to and trusts with his life. They are his guards and people he entrusts to protect not only him, but his daughter as well. He is incredibly loyal and protective of these individuals and while there aren't many of them, I imagine there are a couple. I have this idea where they are a diverse group of people that can be from all parts of the world. Whether they had nothing before Slade took them in, or he crossed paths with them and was intrigued by them! It's why I call them misfits haha because they are a group of diverse whether it be race, rank, skills, etc! There are lots of dynamics we can explore within this, and I'm open to really anything! spies, informants & The like | |
These are the people who work for Slade. Differing from bodyguards because he does not trust them the same way he does the previous grouping of people. He does task them to carry out various duties, as spies and informants throughout the cities, and to report back to him. This is either done under the constant employment of Slade, or occasionally as they are informants for hire, sometimes for competing businesses, brothels, sometimes for robberies or people to prey on. Either way, they know who to come to to do business and if they do a decent job, Slade knows how to pay them for their services . . . provided the information is accurate.
