Physical Appearance

Personality
To those who hold close to her heart, Penelope is kind and helpful. Due to her own individual studies, she is also very smart and witty. A little naive at times, but that comes with her age.
On the other hand, Penelope loves to observe the world around her, whether at parties or in her very own home. People call her a “wallflower” for that reason.
It’s that reason she holds a big secret. Underneath that sweet facade is the most powerful woman of The Ton: Lady Whistledown. She knows everyone’s secrets and publishes her reports for the Ton to read. As of 1813, no one has yet figured out Penelope is the famous Lady Whistledown.
And she likes to keep it that way.
Skills
Penelope prefers to read and write, to her mother’s dismay. Her mother even said that reading will put thoughts into her head.
Weaknesses
Her sweetness is both her blessing and her downfall. While those closest to her are drawn to her sweetness, it can be used against her with the wrong person. Sometimes, she would need to take drastic measures to make a wrong right, even if it means hurting people.
Birthplace
London, England

Lord Archibald Featherington, father (deceased)
Lady Portia Featherington, mother
Prudence Featherington, oldest sister
Philippa Featherington, older sister
Miss Marina Thompson, distant cousin

Debutante, “anonymous” tabloid writer
History
The youngest of the Featherington family, Penelope was seen as a wallflower due to her weight and skin. Her mother would force the young debutante in yellow to make her stand out, despite her protests.
While her family doesn’t give her any attention or love, she was well accepted by the Bridgerton family. She and Eloise Bridgerton had been long time friends and share being strong independent women, unheard of within the Ton.
If Eloise is close in friendship, Eloise’s brother Colin is close to her heart. She carries a torch for the “fun and flirty” Bridgerton, despite Colin only seeing her as a dear friend. Recently, she was ready to declare her feelings “assuredly, fervently….loudly”. But it was the wrong time as he was heading on his long-awaited tour to Greece the next day.
Penelope does have something else to turn to: her anonymous gossip paper she publishes every few days as Lady Whistledown. While the rest of the Ton assume she’s just a chubby spinster in the making, Penelope exposes the secrets of the same people who thought of her as a wallflower. No one from her circle is aware of her identity, though Eloise is inching closer to discover the truth.
