.:History:The fifth child of the highly regarded Bridgerton family Eloise was born to a life of luxury. The first tragedy to cast a pall was the untimely death of her father, though being very young at the time she was somewhat shielded from this by her older siblings. She however never forgot her mother’s subsequent birthing of Francesca, which left her terrified of the ordeal, the screams drowned out only a little by the comforting voice of her elder sister Daphne. From childhood she has been fast friends with Penelope Featherington and she is her chief confidante and partner in crime. Eloise is also very close to her brother Benedict with whom she shares a jovial, amicable relationship. Growing up she always knew she would not be like her perfectly elegant sister Daphne and dreaded coming out into society. After Daphne married the Duke of Hastings it was soon her turn on the marriage mart, but more occupied by the mysteries of Lady Whistledown she has happily escape the fate of an engagement.
