.:Name:. Eloise Bridgerton .:Nick Name:. El .:Rank:. Noble .:Age:. 18
| ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance:. This is how she looks like the rest of her family. Simply by appearances alone, she is a Bridgerton and she possesses the telltale features of her family. With her chestnut-colored hair and her gray eyes. Her hair in a way is almost a subtle reflection of who she is as a person. Not quite curly, but not quite completely straight either. Not quite fitting perfectly into either category just as Eloise doesn't fit neatly into a box within society. While continuing on the subject of her hair, while it is seen as proper etiquette to wear beautifully styled updos, she finds them rather uncomfortable. If given the choice, she'd much rather wear her hair down. The same could be said for her sense of fashion as well. She loathes how uncomfortable the frilly dresses she must wear can be. The color she most normally wears is blue, it compliments her complexion the best. That she doesn't mind as much, the color, she just wishes everything else could be a little more comfortable.
.:Height:. 5'5" .:Portrayed by:. Claudia Jessie

.:Personality:. Ahead of her time, this is one simple way to describe Eloise Bridgerton. As if she and simple ever really belonged in the same sentence. But it is true, a girl like her doesn't quite fit into what is considered the norm of society. She can be viewed as a bit of a pessimist, turning her nose up at the way things are. But in truth, she wants nothing more than to be treated as an equal. To be seen as more than just another silly girl whose only aspiration in life is to find a husband. She wants so much more than that, to be defined by her actions rather than by whom she happens to be married to. That's not to say she doesn't want any of that. She wants love but doesn't wish to lose herself in the process. But it's a society that she struggles to navigate and so she has hardened herself. Scoffing at the silly parties and obsession over matchmaking.
But to get close to her is to understand who she truly is as a person. Eloise loves fiercely and she loves deeply, there is nothing she would not do for those she cares for most. The type of person you want in your corner, she is very loyal to her loved ones. Warm and friendly with a lot to say. The moments where she gets to indulge in her passions are the moments in which a person can truly see her shine.
.:Skills:. Writing, with one of her dreams being that she aspires to be a writer. She is incredibly clever and observant, and because of this her investigating skills are rather sharp as well. Opinionated and stubborn, she's the last person who will ever shy away from expressing how she feels in some way or another. Eloise has incredible penmanship and is quite talented at reading as well. .:Weaknesses:. Stubborn and opinionated, are two things that could also be seen as weaknesses. Depending on the circumstances and who one might ask. While she isn't afraid to share her opinions, she knows when best to hold back. That at times can prove to be difficult when she feels put on the spot. While at social events or when too much attention is on her, she can feel anxious. Under duress because of nerves, she can't seem to stop herself from holding her tongue. They say a person's biggest critic is themselves, which is very much true for Eloise. She can be more than a little critical of herself. At times feeling guilty for simply not living up to these massive expectations set for her as a Bridgerton.

.:Occupation:. None .:History:. It was the year 1796 that Eloise Bridgerton was born. Born as the fifth child, the second eldest daughter. Into a family full of life and love. Truthfully there wasn’t a better family to be apart of. Always outspoken and free spirited, even as a young girl. Making her at times a bit of a handful, though truthfully that cooks simply be said because of the number of children within the household.
Whole Eloise was child number five for the family, she wasn’t the last. Three more would follow after her. Francesca, Gregory, and Hyachinth, respectively. Rounding out the total of Bridgerton children to an even four boys, and four girls. But unfortunately even in a family such as theirs, they weren’t immune to heartbreak. Not long before the birth of her youngest sister, tragedy would strike in the most unexpected way. The death of their Father, for Eloise it didn’t feel real. One moment she was playing with her siblings and the next… there was shouting. A commotion out in the garden. It all didn’t feel real, how could it be?
It was a loss that took its toll on the entire family. The birth of Hyacinth wasn’t even something she could find joy in. At least not at first, the sound of her Mothers screams frightened Eloise. Certain that she might lose her too, and it was Daphne she turned to for comfort on that day. While nothing happened to her that day, the fear remained. It’s why she followed her Mother around as much as she could while she was younger. It took a long time for her to move past that fear and anxiety.
Growing up, knowing she isn’t what she should be. At least not by the standards of society. Someone who craves knowledge, and independence. A chance to make a name for herself outside of who she happens to be connected to. With each passing year, growing more and more wary of the prospects of what her life might become. Worried that she’ll be nothing but a disappointment. Not only to those around her, but to herself as well.
