George IV is the first son of King George III and Queen Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. Judging from the extensive history that I've read about him, I see him as a self-indulging, monstrous man. Moreover, he seems like someone who believes that he is better than most, given his status as firstborn and apparent heir to the throne of England. He believes he can rule much better than his father ever did, and if America revolutionised under his rule, they wouldn't have won, hence the bitterness toward his father's rule.
His relationship with his daughter is strained. Currently, he had arranged a marriage between her and William II of Orange (to be snagged by Fox!). Charlotte, having a fondness for Prince Friedrich, is opposed to it, believing that she'd rather marry someone she has known for a longer period of time. Furthermore, Friedrich has a stronger connection to the Crown and its soil. Having heard of her affections toward Prince Friedrich, he grew enraged and locked her away at Cranbourne Lodge. We can discuss this further later!

Caroline of Brunswick is the wife of George IV and the mother of Princess Charlotte of Wales. Having only had Charlotte, I imagine she must have miscarried a few times and/or had a difficult relationship with her husband and cousin, the prince regent. I imagine her being much kinder and understanding than her husband, happy with the fact that Charlotte was "just a girl" when she was born.
When her daughter is locked at Cranbourne Lodge, I definitely see her arguing more with her cantankerous husband, demanding he let her daughter go and allow her to marry whoever she desires. In other circumstances, I see her defending Little Lottie against George IV's decisions.
