She has long, wavy dirty blonde hair and moss green eyes. Her clothes are often modest and when she is a servant they are never fit just right and are dirty. The nicest thing she owns is a silver dress…

.:Personality: Hard-working, good natured, and kind hearted, Sophie Beckett has lived a hard life but tries her best to make the best of it and be better than the situation she was put in. She aims to help people and do right by them in every decision she makes. When it comes to everything but her survival and personal moral code, she is selfless, liking to hear and help other people with their issues. It is far easier than talking about her own life. She is very passionate about hearing other people's passions and about the arts. Her kindness should not be taken as naivety, though. She might not be well read ( though when she is given a moment to, Sophie does enjoy a good book ), but she is very smart in terms of the ways of the world. Most of the time, this leaves her cautious. 

Though she is quite often quiet and soft spoken, she would do anything that she could to defend her loved ones. She is curious, but tries her best to mind her place and what she can and can not be doing as well as what she what she should. She feels things deeply and learns and loves immensely.

.:History: Born the bastard daughter of the Earl of Penwood, after her mother's death she was sent to live with her father, but it was never revealed to the world who she was. Instead the man told the world that she was a ward from another household. Until her father died, Sophie learned alongside Araminta's daughters and even taught them from time to time. Her stepmother did her best to separate her own children from Sophie and after her father's passing, Sophie was brought on as a housemaid for her step-family, though her position could also be described as also doing the work of a upstairs maid and ladies maid, all the while barely getting paid barely the wage of one and also being mistreated by all of her family save for Poppy. 

One night, the poor woman's life changed and she was pulled from her bed by the fellow servants, dressed and made up so that she looked like a noble and sent to a ball. With a mask on her face, her family would not recognize her, and until midnight she could celebrate, try to dance, be merry- She did not expect to find love though. With this man who approached her she laughed, she learned to dance, she felt at ease and truly herself. All too soon, though, she had to leave, Sophie had nothing left but a dream and a name. 

Unfortunately, her step-mother found out about the ball and Sophie was cast out of her home, left to fend for herself. For awhile she held a position as a upstairs maid for the Cavender's, but after circumstances that left her feeling uncomfortable, she fled with the aid of the man who danced with her at the ball, finding a position as a lady's maid for Eloise and Hyacinth after. Until her identity, who she is is discovered, that is. Then her entire life was changing.
