 tagged words not a clue! notes fun! | Her jaw nearly dropped when her grandmother began making plans to have the two meet, completely ignoring the comment about King Ferdinand of Spain -- who she very much preferred over her own bloody uncle, regardless of the little age difference. Covering the slightly surprised expression, Charlotte attempted to control herself.
"King Ferdinand is just as handsome," Would that work? It was as if Queen Charlotte had already made her decision based of a mere suggestion made by the princess. Reaching into her small, crocheted purse, she pulled out a photo of the prince that was stowed away in a locket-like antique. Showing it to her grandmother, she wondered, hoping that it would steer her away from the idea of Prince Friedrich, "Take a gander at his dark locks," Lottie smiled slightly. "I also hear that Spain is lovely." |

Pulling out her fan, she began covering her face with it to hide her undying grin. "What of Prince Friedrich?" Lottie suddenly inquired, peering over to the man who'd been visiting them for a few weeks before returning to Prussia. She was only half-serious, knowing well that the older man was an uncle.
She could not imagine her marrying someone this year, though she knew that if they'd arranged the right match with her, it would happen sooner or later. Technically speaking, she was out in society, yet members of the British Ton would not do. Even a marquess was lowly for her. He needed to be born of blue blood. "Or perhaps King Ferdinand of Spain? I know he is single and in search of a wife." Charlotte might as well have entertained the idea, really, for such banter was entertaining. She was curious about her grandmother's taste in the opposite gender. |

She was known for them, in fact, having thrown one when she had just turned sixteen, inviting half of London to it (much to her family's dismay). Charlotte liked to be entertained, similarly to her grandmother, despite the fact that they sought it in different manners.
Chuckling slightly at Benedict's response, she glanced up at the top of the tent for a moment, thinking about who it was stuck on her forehead. "Perhaps it is an actor dressed as a woman, then," That couldn't be it, though. "Right, skip my turn!" Lottie requested, turning to Benedict, the first person who offered her an answer. Squinting her eyes, she tried to read who was on his forehead. "Ask away, Benedict!" There was no need for formalities when she was a tipsy royal. |

tagged words not a clue! notes fun! | Seated beside her grandmother at the luncheon, Princess Charlotte remained quiet for most of the event, unable to speak due to the excruciating headache she had from the night before. Ever since she'd turn the ripe age of sixteen, she took joy in hosting lavish parties where she'd invite the elite of the elite to join in her merrymaking. It all began after her sixteenth birthday, of course, which had been talk of the town for months.
Acknowledging her grandmother when she spoke, she listened quietly, gently resting her palm against her cheek. "Ah, yes," She responded nonchalantly with a small grin. "The stable boy caught my attention. Was it John or James?" Quite the jest, really, and she knew tha her grandmama would not be entirely angry at her for making such a comment. Young Charlotte knew she was her grandparent's favourite, possibly because she was the only child produced by the regent king. "It is the nineteenth century, grandmama. Is it not too early to think of marriage prospects?" |

tagged words not a clue! notes fun! | Seated around the table underneath the tent, Princess Charlotte was surrounded by her favourites (ladies of high stature, be it duchesses and the alike) and a few men connected to them. Amongst them that evening was Benedict Bridgerton, the brother of thhe Viscount. An invitation was extended to him because she'd heard that he was quite the social butterfly in comparison to his brothers.
After a few rounds of champagne, Charlotte called to one of the servants to bring her a stack of notes. Using the quills offered to her, she passed them around to her companions to initiate a game of 'Who Am I'? It was a popular game amongst drunkards where they'd write the names of celebrities and well-known characters on a piece of paper and stick it to their foreheads, leading them to guess who they are.
Placing hers on her head, which stated "Queen Charlotte" (unbeknownst to her, of course), she began, "Am I female?" |
