Background
Born in 1796, Francesca was the seventh child from an overall of nine children; she had three older brothers, two older sisters and two younger brother and sister. Perhaps it was the perk of being a middle child, Francesca grew up feeling .... different than many of her siblings. Maybe even distant in a way; not extreme enough that she was the wallflower of the family, just that there were still many things that Francesca could not share even though she was quite close with Eloise, her older sister by only a year.
Her three brothers were gentlemen before she even reached three and ten and .... well, Francesca would rather play the pianoforte than to listen to any stories of her brothers' late night adventures. Daphne, she was almost like a second mother to her, though without much of the nagging she suppose ... or perhaps a tad more?
Eloise, Francesca loved spending time with her. However, when Penelope developed a friendship with her sister -- they were became inseparable and unfortunately, three can be a crowd.
Francesca didn't mind; she was a chameleon that way that she'd adapted rather well with just the company of Hyacinth and Gregory at times. Most times, Francesca enjoys being indoors; playing the pianoforte, learning new languages or painting (though she's not very good). Other times, Francesca can be seen on a stroll around the park or the city. She enjoyed the outdoors as much as she enjoyed indoors; though unlike her other siblings she does not find hunting amusing nor entertaining. She could never understand anyone who could hurt a fly let alone an animal!
Francesca grew up without a worry in the world; being a Bridgerton certainly helps, but beyond that she was utterly blessed. She had the comfort of many siblings and a mother who loves them all equally. Though she lost her father at a very young age, Anthony had always been a surrogate father to her and in a way, it didn't feel like she was missing out at all. She grew up with a silver spoon in her mouth, and to make matters worse -- luck often follows.

Canon - Bridgerton series Due to her interest in studying music and literature; Francesca spent most of the year 1714 living with her Aunt Winnie in Bath, who was most supportive of her endeavours. And Francesca adored living with Aunt Winnie; she appreciated that being in Bath meant she had no distractions (in the form of her siblings) in pursuing what she wanted. She returned to London a year later, and stayed until it was her time to debut to society...
AU - When He Was Wicked
Francesca debuted in 1816 and she was not nervous at all... Maybe, she was a little nervous ... at the prospect -- very low prospect -- of not finding her match at all. Was she worried about not marrying out of love .. ? She didn't think so, after all - it was her duty to marry eventually. Everyone marries eventually. And who was to say love wouldn't follow after?
In 1817, Francesca married John Stirling - the son of an earl from Scotland who she met during her debut ball. To no one's surprise, they married out of love ... Francesca absolutely adored John and couldn't imagine a life without him. Soon after the wedding, Francesca and John moved to the Kilmartin Estate, where the couple was often joined by Michael, John's cousin. Francesca loved Michael's company; he made her laugh and smile and treated her with respect. Though there were many rumours about Michael, she adored him regardless.
"You are charming so you are always forgiven," she would say as he would remember.
And Michael returned the sentiment, albeit for other reasons... and he would take that reason to the grave, if he had to.
On a fateful night, 1820, John Stirling passed away due to headache ... and the death of John was followed by the death of Francesca's and Michael's friendship.
Francesca still grieving her losses stayed at Kilmartin, up in Scotland. She would act as Countess and Earl in Michael's absence where she thought it was impossible to feel content again, not happy, just content.
As for Michael, he moved to India, before returning in 1824 where he would met Francesca again...
