| -------------------------------------------- "Oh, I've travelled." Siena donned her signature grin as she sipped on her glass of wine and lazily propped herself down on a dusty sofa. Just because she came from a poor upbringing, it did not mean she did not have the funds to be able to live her life. Sure, she was co-dependent on figures in high society and though she was engaged at one point, she mostly relied on herself and her voice to pay many of her bills.
"Not far," She added, shaking her head slightly, wishing that she was able to do so. "I have been to Paris," Siena commented, showing her a bracelet that she had bought from the shops there. "London will always be my home, though." Though she despised the streets of Soho and the terrible memories that they brought her, she could not stay away from them. When she wasn't staying at one of her rakes' homes, she stayed with a friend of hers in a less fortunate area in London. |

| -------------------------------------------- Perhaps this had been her first sign to leave London for good. She had been there for too long and since she'd parted ways with both Anthony Bridgerton and her former betrothed, Siena felt like she had nothing left there except for her ongoing career. Then again, she could recreate herself somewhere else. She had the voice and the appearance. What on earth was she doing by remaining in an area where she would not be accepted into a society she sang for? They praised her on the evenings she performed, but they would never truly accept her for who she was.
Just her art.
Picking up the bottle of wine off the table, she uncorked it and poured them both glasses near the brim. Smiling slightly, Siena offered it to the younger woman, "I must confess, I am incredibly thankful that I was not born a lady," She commented, knowing well it must have been uncomfortable sometimes for people like Eloise. "However, I do not doubt that many men have fawned over you." |

This could not be happening. She was stuck in a room with her former lover's sister and there was simply neither of them could do about it, given the lack of windows and a proper key. They could perhaps yell for someone to hear them, but considering where they were, it was highly unlikely. How on earth did they even end up in such a predicament? One second, she had offered Eloise Bridgerton a thread and needle to help her sew her dress up and now the door closed on them and locked. She should have known better. Siena should have kept her eye on that damned door. They were at a ball together and the singer had just finished performing a number, before mingling among the royalty and nobility for a moment. Eloise just seemed like an individual in need and knowing how it felt to have your fabric ripped (her brother was not part of that particular thought), it truly wasn't the best feeling. "What are we to do, my lady?" At least there was a bottle of wine on one of the tables. @eloisebridgerton | "Most maidens are perfectly capable of rescuing themselves in my experience, at least the ONE'S worth something, in any case."

It was a strange feeling to her, calling him by his Christian name. Alas, she wanted to get used to it, to use it more often than she needed to just to relish in the moment that they were no longer unequal in society. He had made the decision to run away with her and finally, they were at the perfect time and more importantly, place. He was home to her and she could not bare spending another second without him. She would not be able to bear it. Chuckling at his inability to light the fire, Siena approached him from behind and embraced him, leaning up to kiss his cheek. "I'll do it." She reassured him, taking the flint and steel from his hands. Kneeling, she began to strike the iron with the flint and after some time, a fire was initiated and she pulled the empty pot near it. Upon rising from her position, his question caught her slightly off guard. Sure, she was used to some sort of luxury, but this would do. "As long as I am in your presence, My Lor-" Did she not call him by Christian name only seconds ago? "Anthony," She paused, donning one of her famous grins. "I'll always be happy. Have I not told you that several times before?" Warmth radiated from the fireplace, yet the warmth that Siena truly felt existed in the small space between their figures. | MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0 | |

She wasn't sure how this sudden meeting would turn out. Would he leave her stranded, imitating the same actions she'd committed so many nights ago, or would he be pleased to know that all she desired in the world was, in fact, him? It worried her because despite providing the man that she adored with heartbreak, she did not want to experience the same fate. Could he truly blame her for making her choice? It was a society that would never accept her. What would be the outcome if she had joined him at the ball? His question surprised her. Siena remained rooted to her spot as she listened to his words, inquiring what it was that she truly wanted from him. It was like he was pleading with her, his gaze sending shivers down her spine. As he inched closer to her, she did not move back. Her heart raced. "I desire you, My Lord," Siena found herself uttering without hesitation. It was taking her everything not to pull him into a deep kiss. Everything in her soul. "Only you. That is all I want. How may I have you without the sentiments of society trying us? I'm not sure, but all I know is that I need you."
Siena inched closer now, hand shaking as she gripped the edge of a table. "Please tell me you are not in love with somebody else..." If he was, then she could not blame him. How could she? At the same time, however, she wanted him all for herself. "If you are, then I assure you that I will never cross paths with you again." It hurt her to say that. | scared to admit my shortcoming's led to overdraft of this affair MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0 | |

tagged words not a clue! notes ♥ | Siena never thought the day ahead of them would come. As she paced around her room, she nervously bit her fingers, wondering what the outcome of Anthony's duel would be. Would he be shot dead? She could never live with that. Never. The young woman would even resort to taking her own life if she were to receive news of her lover's demise. She could not even bring herself to sleep when she rested her head on her pillow, her thoughts continuously buzzing around her restless mind.
And so, when she heard a knock at her door, Siena already had her bags packed and ready to go. Genevieve, her closest friend, was staying with her for the night. The brunette explained the plan to her, much to her friend's slight disapproval. Kissing the back of Gen's hands, she whispered a warm farewell and scurried to the front door. There, she found Anthony, the love of her life and without further hesitance, she jumped into his arms, ready to travel far, far way from Grosvenor Square -- presumably Scotland.
But before they could do that, they had to find a cottage to live in. Grinning in amusement at her soon-to-be husband's words, Siena nudged him with his shoulder, "This will do perfectly, Anthony," For the first time, she'd referred to him by his first name instead of "My Lord". It certainly felt strange to her. She'd have to get used to it. "Come on, help me set up of the fire, and we can get dinner ready." |

tagged words not a clue! notes ooh! | His question surprised her, really, but it wasn't the tone of voice that he used, it was more along the idea that he still cared for her. Oh, little did she know when she spent every single night lying in bed, even beside her ex-fiance, tossing and turning and wondering what Anthony thought about her. Did he despise her for making such a decision? It was termed realism. How on earth could he blame her for knowing how the world worked? He was a viscount and she... a lowly entertainer to the masses.
"No, My Lord," She swiftly answered, maintaining a short distance between them. How could she know his true sentiments toward her? How would he react if she were to take a step forward and try to reach out to him? "I left him..." There was a short pause as she did not know how to put her thoughts to words so easily. Usually, she could, holding the power to entice men like Anthony Bridgerton, but for the time being, she'd lost it entirely. "I left him because I realised that I cannot stop thinking about you," Siena confessed, her heart pounding against her chest. "Day and night."

tagged words not a clue! notes ooh! | Siena gazed at him, not expecting him to be so silent. She bore a slight smile, giving him a tiny curtsy, "You are too kind, My Lord, for this only took me a mere half hour." When in reality, she spent the entire day getting ready, ensuring that her skin smelled like milk and honey, her hair like petals, and her makeup suitable for such an event. Normally, Siena donned a crimson lip, yet that evening, she chose a lighter colour. "We shall!" Siena laughed gently, looping her gloved hand with his extended arm, her jitterinesses still taking residence within her. What would they think of her? The Ton knew her as the famous soprano. "I could not ask for a better man by my side," The younger woman acknowledged. "Let them talk -- as long as I am yours, and you mine, their opinion lacks matter." She tried to assure him, wondering if he shared the same nerves as she.

tagged words not a clue! notes ooh! | His acceptance brought a wave of relief upon her, and she instantly wiped the tears that had formed from her eyes, not wanting them to trickle down and reveal her true weakness, which was precisely Anthony Bridgerton. They'd left things off in a horrid state, her main motive being less heartbreak and a life in reality, which was far from being his wife.
"Follow me, but tread behind." As she did not desire attention from any unwanted ears and eyes that early morning. Pulling her hood further over her head, she traveled down the cobbled street until she reached the backdoor of Genevieve's shop. Opening the door, Siena glanced left and right before entering the place, waiting for Anthony to enter. Where to begin?
Upon feeling him enter, she began, "I've left him." |

tagged @gendlc words not a clue! notes ooh! | Normally, Siena Rosso did not form deep connections with men like Anthony Bridgerton. While being an opera singer, she worked as a courtesan, accepting wealthy individual’s affections in exchange for a better life.
Returning the hug from her friend, Siena pulled out a bottle of French wine from her coat, offering it to her best friend two pour them two cups. ”Gen, I love him,” The brunette let out a sigh, flopping down on one of the settees in the modiste’s back room. ”I’ve left my fiancé for him and chances are, we will never reconcile and be together once more.”
What was the point anyway? They could never truly be together.

tagged words not a clue! notes ooh! | Siena had only just left her fiancée, deciding that it was the best decision. As much as she hated to admit it, Anthony Bridgerton was a recurrent thought, day and bloody night. Though she believed her nights spent at the opera house would help relieve such thoughts, they did not, and she knew that she could not remain with a man she did not love, especially with her ex lover inhabiting her mind rent free.
Seeing him here and now filled with her with absolute dread, barely knowing what to say as her full lips parted ways for a moment. All the colour from her face had washed away as she remained frozen, staring deeply into the brown eyes that once filled her with hope and desire. ”My Lord…” Siena managed, feeling fresh tears sting her eyes. Oh, why was she crying? She needed to be stronger.
”Can we talk?” She suddenly asked, hoping for a positive reply. |

tagged words not a clue! notes ooh! | Siena heard a knock at the door and her heart sank, knowing well that it was Anthony. The opera singer had spent nearly the entire day getting ready, pulling out a dress that her best friend, Genevieve, had previously sewn for her and hanging it on her divider. Her makeup had been completed in an hour, but her hair took twice as long, ensuring that it was flawless. Siena wanted the entire room to look at her... to envy her for being in the arms of the Viscount. Tonight would be her fairytale, and whether it went wrong or right was up to fate itself. Rising from her chair, she took one more glance in her mirror to ensure she looked perfect for him. It was the first time she'd worn white since she was a mere teenager. It was strange to her. Surreal. Regardless of her past, Siena wanted to look like them. To fit in. Though she would somewhat blend in, the diamond necklace around her neck would not. Rushing down the steps of her apartment, she stopped for a moment to gather herself before opening the door. A grin played at her lips at the sight of the bouquet, "My Lord, you shouldn't have!" Siena accepted them, smelling and admiring them.

tagged words not a clue! notes ooh! | Siena was at one of Henry's Granville's many lavish parties. Standing beside one of the vacant easels, she peered at the canvas that was ready to be drawn upon. There was something missing, however, and that was a model. Whilst others stood outside, she remained in the room alone, admiring the venue of the fête.
There was already liquor running through her veins by the time she'd entered the place. She'd knocked back half a bottle of wine in her home as she put on her makeup on. It was her preferred way of getting dressed for events like these. Feeling a presence in the room, the slightly tipsy opera singer turned around, meeting eyes with none other than Lord Granville himself.
Bearing a small smile, Siena offered him a slight curtsy. |
