Greetings Hippolyte Barthélemy ! Thank you for your question! In regards to your suggestion as the war being over where the plot takes place, there was actually a war mentioned in the show however the details were not made clear. We are also a fluid timeline, which means you can bring in your character after the war if you'd like, and you can still have threads that fit into the timeline as we are not necessarily focused on one singular year! Threads can take place after 1813. It is truly up to the role player as to when in time they would like threads to take place!
Because the details of the war are unclear, we can also provide another suggestion: which is that if you would like to say that the war is over, then that of course is fine! However, if something occurs in the show that contradicts this (i.e. if next season they reference the war, or provide more details about it) then we may have to ask for edits to be made to fit the canon of the plot!

Icon & Signature Icons and Signatures are sections that you can edit to jazz up your profile! Read below to find out how to do that!
Icon
DEFINITION: the avatar or icon is a section that you can add a picture or gif of the character that you are role playing on the site. To avoid confusion, as there is another avatar in your profile as well, we commonly refer to this as your icon. Your icons appear at the bottom of the homepage when you are online, as well as next to any threads that you have started or last posted in.
DIMENSIONS: the dimensions of the avatar/icon are 150 pixels x 150 pixels. Any images/gifs are that not these dimensions will be automatically resized and may potentially distort the image. If you need help resizing your image, feel free to let us know and we can assist you with this.
CHANGING YOUR ICON The first thing you will need to go to the section where you can edit your icon. This can be done by going to: PROFILE >> EDIT PROFILE >> AVATAR. You will then see a section like this:
Then click the area that says UPLOADED/LINKED and a window like this will appear:
From there, you can choose whether you would like to upload an image from your computer by clicking SELECT IMAGE, or you can put in a direct link to an image/gif by entering it in the designated text field. Once you do this, the image will automatically load.
Be sure to save your icon/avatar changes by clicking:  Signature DEFINITION: the signature is a section in your profile that appears at the bottom of every post. It is usually a place where you can put an image, gif, banner, related text, quotes, etc of the character that you are role playing. You can use the site codes (i.e. alignments, colors, etc) in this text field. You can also use a combination of images and texts as well as multiple images if you so desire.
DIMENSIONS: we ask that your signature image/gif/banner be no larger than 300 pixels x 600 pixels. This is so that the board does not stretch and that members do not have to do scroll too much if the signature exceeds the limited height. If you need help resizing your image, feel free to let us know and we can assist you with this.

Username Your username on the site is the character's name that you are role playing as! You are able to change your username from the one you originally registered as. For instance, you can add spaces between the words, capitalize, etc.
- [1] To access your username to change it, go to PROFILE >> EDIT PROFILE >> PERSONAL >> DISPLAY NAME. You can then type in your desired username in the text field.
- [2] Your username is by default white, however after you have been approved you will receive a PM where you can select which color you would like your username to be. This is often done by selecting a HEX code, which is a combination of 6 letters and numbers.
- [3] As you may have noticed, usernames are in all capital letters when you view a profile or see it in a thread. This is done by default, so you do not need to enter your username in all capslock. For example: If your username is Eloise Bridgerton, you do not need to enter it as ELOISE BRIDGERTON.
- [4] We might change your username in accordance to site expectations. This will be done after your bio is approved and will only be done under certain circumstances. For example, if there are no spaces between your character's first and last name (i.e. if it is penelopefeatherington, we would change it to Penelope Featherington, if your username is in all capslock, if you picked another username that differs from your character's name, etc).
- [5] Your TAG is different from your DISPLAY NAME. Member's can @ you based on the name that you registered as. So for example: if you registered as hastings, and then once your bio was approved, change your username to Simon Bassett, your tag will still be @hastings NOT @simon Bassett. You can change your display name at any time, but you can not change the name that you originally register as unless you delete the account and re-register.
- [6] Please do not register or use a username that is the name of a character that you do not intend to role play as. For instance: do not register as bridgerton if you do not intend to roleplay as a Bridgerton.
Be sure to click SAVE PERSONAL SETTINGS to save all your profile changes!
